NTA per share is ~0.38 USD or ~0.47 SGD.

Current price of 0.385 is ~18% discount with respect to the NTA.

Cheap & growing stock.... good to get & keep it....

Not vested... but I think it  will be  good if VARD  new management can confirm her dividend policy in AGM tomorrow. If VARD intends to issue  lesser dividend, then the share price might be adjusted lower in this aspect... to a price relative to peers like Yangzijiang? Otherwise, it is okay...  Just my opinion...

vested & I doubt so... As of now, it seems that China Fish may  become a  substantial shareholder of the valuable Copeinca unless some pleasant surprises arise. If this is the case, the money raised from the right issues & banks loan will be more than sufficient for the good acquisition.

This fish is dead liao. With the unsuccessful acquisition, having too much $ from rights may ended up in mbs or rws!

There are illustrations on page 35 to 37 of the recent circular sent to shareholders showing the financial effects of the rights issue (considering the Carlyle warrants) on the share capital, NTA, EPS & gearing.

Thkq Blanchard,

It makes no sense to exercise and convert @ $2.10. Question is how will this change the effect of CF's acquisition ? Any comments, thanks

JMS213,

On 28 July 10,  China Fish issued 26,666,666 warrants to CAP III-A Limited at a total consideration of US$1 (the " Warrants" ). Each of the Warrants carries the right to subscribe to one new ordinary share of the Company of US$0.05 each at an exercise price of S$2.10 per Warrant which is payable in United States dollar based on a fixed exchange rate in accordance with the subscription agreement entered into with CAP III-A Limited. The Warrants have not been listed or traded on the Main Board of the SGX.

I think the acquisition of Copeinca or being a substantial shareholder of Copeinca is important to China Fish.

Seniors, what is happening now ? How come now got warrants ?   Veteran Octavia, if Cermaq has 50.7%, why is CF still want to compete ... I thought game over ???

I think the expiry date of warrants is still 28 July 13?

New Yangzi to Pen 94K Bulkers

China's Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding seems poised to win up to two post-panamax transloader newbuilding bulkers from Oldendorf Carriers. Sources said the German shipowner is under negotiation with New Yangzi for 1+1 94,000-dwt bulkers, due for delivery in early 2015.

Meanwhile, industry sources said the deal is similar to an order previously contracted with JES International Holdings's subsidiary Jiangsu Eastern Heavy Industry in China, in September 2012, in terms of the vessel design and terms of the contract. Oldendorff awarded an order for one plus one 94,000-dwt hybrid bulkers, with delivery slated in mid-2014. Sources suggest that the shipowner could be replacing the order, since JES is currently facing financial difficulties and its subcontract yard workers went on strike over non-payment of wages.

Meanwhile, Oldendorff is actively involved in newbuilding investment with low newbuilding prices. Earlier this month, the company awarded an order for firm four 207,000-dwt Newcastlemax bulkers with additional options for two, valued in the exceed of $50m apiece, at Hyundai Heavy Industries of Korea.
