Trades as seperate entity, trade may  end lower each time price is push up and dump, likely lower on a narrow band less then 50 cents till dust is settle (think so).  Agree with U.

It run up is due to help from speculating player's too.

 Alert Admin 		TCC Assets is a private company owned by Chaoren and his wife. It holds the vast majority of shares in F&N. thaibev only owns a fraction and if I didn't remember wrongly its not more than 30%. Thus only if TCC assets decide to make F&N a subsidiary under thaibev, then there will be direct benefits of earnings reported in thaibev. It seems like Chaoren is keen to keep F&N which has a better reputation and strong brand in its century old history.

 Alert Admin 		ThaiBev announced that it is their current intention to maintain the listing status of the Company, and have also stated that they are currently in discussions with SGX regarding the restoration of the free float in the Co and will provide updates in due course. The key issues will now be on the structure and quantum of the restoration of float and the new mgt strategy for growth. Analysts note that it will be trickier to restructure the entities with both being listed, which could probably explain the drop in ThaiBev’s share price yesterday. Market watchers note that it is unlikely that the market would be willing to pay $9.55 per share in a placement, given that Charoen's purchase price included a control premium.

In this market, stocks are sometimes suppressed alot for no apparent reason, just like how some stocks are overvalued due to whatever hype. If you factored in the fundamentals of F& N with Thai Bev, and given the large amout of ordinary shares of Thai Bev, Thai Bev is definitely still worth more than 60 cents, or at least 80 cents. The question is however, whether stocks can rise up to their value or not, it really has to depend alot on the market and how much faith, awareness and interest investors have in that stock, and that's where technical analysis comes in. Given the recent spate of negative news on Thai  Bev and gloom surrounding the equity market these few days, in the short term, this stock may fall, maintain it's current price level, or don't rise much.

The Fraser and Neave, Limited Board wishes to announce that the Company’s shareholders, TCC Assets Limited (" TCCA" ) and Thai Beverage Public Company Limited (" ThaiBev" ) have jointly indicated in writing to the Company today that it is their current intention to maintain the listing status of the Company.
