This is the nature of the stock market.
Once a player has lost, he/she will always want to recover the losses.
Discipline is no ouse. One has to come to a full realisation that
" not losing is already winning" ...

I thought u have given up on shares. Better dont think about buying once u have made up ur mind. Like that, u will never give up. Once u decided, dont be tempted again. Be decisive.

bladez, sgtrader is right tat the support is at 5.25 and the resistance is at 5.6 now..
so it's safer to buy at 5.25 or above 5.6 once the resistance is broken in a big volume

hmmm somehow i think tiancai made a very good point. cause i think on fri before 4pm, the stocks were held out by the budget talk. after that i lau sai already. so i dont know if its wise to get into wilmar also. though they may post better than expected results.
the last time wilmar was at this level, was july 09. i mean how much worse can wilmar perform considering that 09 was the crisis period?
omg! tempted to buy wilmar!
I believe STI will be flat and directionless between opening to 10am. After 10am, it will follow HSI. HSI and SSE will lau sai tomorrow after the reserve hike. A good time to take profit or  cut loss will be b4 HSI opens at 10am. Just my 2 cts thought, I could be vert wrong in this...

Garfield (2004) - IMDb

One night Odie runs away and gets dog-napped after Garfield locks him outside. ... this film is the electric torture dog collar, which is nothing any true lover ...

Exactly just like that show about Garfield, about a poor dog lock with a shock collar.

I guess I have to leave this question to the chart experts here like iPunter guru or aura BT.
I also guess its first and foremost important to have the necessary skills to use charts correctly even before attempting to decipher them.

p.s. I remember iPunter saying before that even simple charts provided by SGX would suffice.

wow BT, you chosen 3 chips from hong kong 1) genting (hk) 2) noble (hk) 3) sembmar (hk) ^^
in auto trigger mode
perhaps consider these 3 chips from singapore 1) keppelcorp (sin) 2) olam (sin) 3) sembcorp industries (sin) ^^
in manual trigger mode
my view

It all boils down to
" take your losses when small" and  " let your profits run" ...
However, in the real world, that is easier recited as a mantra than done successfully.
Whipsaws can and do 'whack the daylights out of the most brilliant of traders...

Yup Gaecia you right. I am using ThinkOrSwim to trade US stocks / options. It has a sliding bar to let you easily set the stop-loss and take-profit triggers just by using the sliding bar, very cool and easy to use, no programming.  Cool stuff !
Once you are in the money, you slide the stop-loss trigger into the profit zone and lock in your profits and you leave the take-profit trigger alone. And vice-versa if market is moving against you.
Only 2 more announcements I am watching out for STI. GenSp announcement on 22nd Feb after 5pm. And Noble on 28th.
Maybe should watch out for SembMar announcement too.
Have a good Sunday!   Should go sleep now... zzz

I read on the net that people many have objected fiercely
about the cruelty done to those magic goldfishes.

Aura loves to use this icon, so okay lah  will include him too.
As for moi, i  am merely embattled not experienced at all.

You can subscribe to 'Poem Pro-Trader'. If I am not mistaken 'Poems CFD or CFDTrader' DMA does not support advance order types.
Stop limit, oco, trailing, contingent is only supported by " CFD Shares"
You can call Philips to confirm
