no i was wrong, i foresee a technical rebounce today.. i actually queued a bit at 65 last friday..
but if i/we couldnt buy at 65 cents, we shouldnt buy today at 65.
like i said, if my forecast tat the technical rebounce is right, we wouldnt even be able to buy at 65 cents.. if my forecast is wrong, 65 might be expensive.. so it simply doesnt make sense to buy at 65 cents on monday.. too risky

hi roti boy, seems like u are right.......... shortist @ work..... can really wait for 0.50 but surely kill too many people who have vested in GAR....
I am sorry for cannotfind.... 218 +218 =512 ( not sure if he is an IT guy ?)

hmmmmm i don't think i can answer this question.... sorry....
because i never really study gar's chart during the weekend..... this is because about 50% of my trading capital are tied in with noble.... i'm not very keen to exceed more than that

Though I think the budget handouts are not too sweet, at least it is slightly better than previous years. There will be some extra money flowing into the market. Hope not too much flow into the casino market, please,

The Sg Budget has finally been out on Friday, hence many will be watching the market come Monday to see the reaction to it. Not too sure whether it is good news or bad news to investors but i suppose a-gong giving growth dividends is good news? But i'm sure STI may be partly affected by HSI and SSE reaction to the bank reserve increase.

Yup Gaecia you right. I am using ThinkOrSwim to trade US stocks / options. It has a sliding bar to let you easily set the stop-loss and take-profit triggers just by using the sliding bar, very cool and easy to use, no programming. Cool stuff !
Once you are in the money, you slide the stop-loss trigger into the profit zone and lock in your profits and you leave the take-profit trigger alone. And vice-versa if market is moving against you.
Only 2 more announcements I am watching out for STI. GenSp announcement on 22nd Feb after 5pm. And Noble on 28th.
Maybe should watch out for SembMar announcement too.

Yea i said before, Nyse is one very fast ticker & every 1-2 seconds' screen flash can mean a difference of bid spread between usd10-25 for those few hundred bucks stock per share. It is not easy to 'manually' day trade actively, can go blur and cause human error quite easily in the wee hours of the morning our local time.
Aura, try using pre-programmed trigger orders like contingent orders might help somewhat. Best is, do your own customised programmed tradescreens, you can use that on ie. e-mini futures and forex too. I don't know how those US veteran traders do it but you've computer engineering background, it could be easy for you.
Still, one is up against the high frequency trading houses & black pools. So all is, risky betting. hehehe
