Genting Sp has been slaughtering many people.   People who made their profits must have sold out already.   Those hanging on are on big book losses.   But if one is looking at the longer (my version of Long term) term say 1 to 3 years, they can make their money back.

I had this experience of recovering heavy book losses before, so those who are hanging on within their budgets, should find some consolation that it is possible. I can quote a few counters, eg.   BIG went down to 29 cents when I had them for $1.00.   Subsequently sold at 1.18 (Took 3 years).   DBS bought for $14 and gone down to 7 bucks, subsequently sold at $15. (2 years).   Genting bought about $0.90 then it fell to below 50 cents.   Subsequently sold at $1 plus.

And many others.   So if you have spare money, don't worry.   But do it within your means when you buy shares.   Only use idle money.
