just a question, if you become a trader, then every one cents upwards  you also can clear and exit ?
so good ya!

if i took your advice correctly for genting sp..... buy at 1.90 and sell @ 1.92..... that will still help.... but commission will be half of my profit ?

BullishTempo ( Date: 23-Feb-2011 13:36) Posted:
Institutions who are buying need not pay commission, they only pay clearing fee to SGX, which is a fix fee of about $600, which is nothing when they are playing big volumes.

SINGAPORE, Feb 23 - Singapore-listed palm oil firm Wilmar International said its planned $900 million investment in Indonesia is likely to be disbursed over three years.
" Every year we invest about $200-300 million in Indonesia, so this investment may be spread out over a number of years, possibly three years," chief operating officer Martua Sitorus told Reuters on the sideline of the company's results briefing.
Separately, Wilmar CEO Kuok Khoon Hong said margins for its consumer product business in China will likely remain under pressure with the government asking producers not to raise prices until at least March to deal with rising inflation.

Sorry bro, had to be away just now.
Mid-term is still bearish for STI.
Mid-term targets indicate 2950 to 2900, unless STI can break 3050 convincingly.
Yup, GenSp rebounded, and is currently forming a doji.
This stock, if you buy, be prepared to keep for 3 years minimum. That is what I am gonna do.

hey bT, more serious question on STI..... will it drop below 3,000 points....
i heard something about interest rates hike and middle-east worries continued ????? what are the effects....
will we still see a downward trend for this week ? |

thats why these dealers can make $$$ by just 1 bid
we retailers need at least 2 bids just to breakeven and the 3rd bid to make $$$... see how to win? now you know why a single bid with 1000 lots?

| Citi lowers target for Genting Singapore to $2.40 |
| WRITTEN BY THOMSON REUTERS     |
| WEDNESDAY, 23 FEBRUARY 2011 12:01 |
Citi has lowered its target price for casino operator Genting Singapore (GENS.SI) to $2.40 from S$2.60, but maintained its buy rating.
Genting Singapore said its Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) casino-resort had adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of $389.8 million on revenues of $775.2 million for the three months ended December. Citi said RWS had a healthy quarter-on-quarter growth in VIP volumes, compared with rival Marina Bay Sands (MBS) that saw a fall of around 20% in volumes.
The brokerage estimated that RWS had won back market share, finishing the fourth quarter with around 55% share compared with about 53% in the third quarter.
Citi said RWS and MBS together generated gross gaming revenue of around US$3.6 billion ($4.6 billion) in 2010, adding that its forecast for 2011 is US$5.1 billion as both casinos are likely to benefit from a solid Chinese New Year and the holiday periods.   However, Citi said Singapore will not see a new casino opening in the near term and it thus expects the city-state’s market to have annual organic growth of around 10%.   In comparison, the brokerage has a 25% growth forecast for Macau in 2011 as it will have new casinos coming into operation, adding that Singapore thus has a less attractive growth profile versus Macau.   At 11:40 a.m., Genting Singapore shares were down 3% at $1.92 on a volume of 212.4 million shares. |

| STI down 0.6% Mideast, a bull market game changer - Phillip Securities |

| WRITTEN BY DOW JONES & CO, INC     |
| WEDNESDAY, 23 FEBRUARY 2011 09:40 |
The STI is off 0.6% at 3001.43, as geopolitical worries continue to hit global markets volume is strong at 504 million shares worth $408 million, with five decliners per gainer in the broad market.  “Events in the Middle East are a potential game changer to what we believe is an on going equity bull market, especially if oil hits US$120/barrel much too early on in the market cycle.
So far, between improved economic data, earnings, and wide yield curves, the long-term signals are that this is an intermediate correction in a bull run for the STI,” says Phillip Securities.    It adds, Tuesday’s opening gap down “looks like a breakaway gap, signaling increased odds of a momentum driven downtrend kicking in.”    It tips psychological support initially at 3000, then a minor support at 2980 before a more significant support at 2950. Wilmar (F34.SG) slumps 4.4% to $5.17 after its below-view 4Q results Genting Singapore (G13.SG) is off 3.0% after its 4Q earnings, while Olam (O32.SG) slips 3.4% to $2.54.  |
