Big rally on Wall Street

Major indexes jump after two tough sessions as investors scoop up a variety of shares; rate-cut bets remain in place.

CITIGROUP - belly interesting article in BT

Funds flowing into the Asian region in the past two weeks have surpassed redemptions in late July and August period, when equity markets suffered sharp losses on concerns of a global credit crunch, according to a Citigroup report yesterday.

If you read today's newspapers, especially TODAY front page, "Say goodbye to the goblin.... The other view is the Sub-prime spook is exaggerated, could be vanished by Halloween."

And according to another quote in the same article from the CEO of Fisher Investment..."The fact is, if every sub-prime mortgage that could possibly default defaulted, the most it could do is slow down US gross domestic product some."

So whoever said these words, are they "Dark Angels" misleading people to misfortunes or are they "Messengers of Light" that brighten the path ahead?

One thing is for sure - Life is a cycle. There will be rainbows after the rain. There will be light after darkness and darkness after light. We have to make and face judgements every day, until our time comes to depart.

I see twin towers. Each representing China and US.
Imagine if these 2 economies were to bow to subprime and inflation respectively.
Quite negative scenario.

All are given eyes to see, but also hands to cover their eyes should they not want to see what they should see... heheh.

Very interesting STI movements today. Before the post-market operations after 5.00pm, STI was at 3489.76.

Once the mkt ops were done, STI closed at 3494.57.

2 key resistances...
