Watch the Dow Jones futures. It's partly responsible for the low close. Volumes only 1458m...

Saying the drastic fall is due to routine profit-taking is too simplistic...

maybe there's more to it... Smiley

200MA is around 3500. STI has gone above it, should be able to go higher. There will more days up than down.

natural profit taking lah... sti rallied strongly for 3 days, so tech is overbought; dow futures are red, US/Yen is dropping, hsi dropped from +290 to +14, so our little lamb sti sure to follow....

yea. locked in my calls earlier and got some puts for tmrw. looks like rapid trading for this period. urgh.

be careful of last 5 min after the bell. may--i repeat, may only--see friday's phenomenon of sudden large lots buy up or sell down on some counters. with thin vols, this means change may be drastic.

Therefore, in this regard, it is totally futile to make any recommendations to others, since there's such a diversity of conflicting and contrary views existing at all times... Smiley

By the way, why not listen to our Australian loving couple's wisdom to avoid the pitfalls of needing to predicting?

When it comes to the stock market, it doesn't matter an iota who predicts what and whether the prediction is 'prophetic'... or not....

What is important is our readiness, at a snap of the fingers, to admit to the market beast our wrongs...Smiley

markets cannot go up and stay up all the time.. it will need a breather..most prob this week..

for those who listened to my call to buy during the dip during november.. my opinion for this week is to sell into strength... and wait for markets to dip... then go in again during the dip..

SPH,SMRT,COSCO,SWIBER are some counters you may consider...
