certainty is back to market and recovery will start from 26th November 2007 till 14/18 January 2008....buy on any dip for recovery as market will try higher high (rather than lower low from 15th Oct - 23rd November, and higher high for 23rd August - 15th October)....as always said, market will be the best judge for our call (see now around 3300 plus and in 14/18 January 2008 the index)....good luck :)

I hope today won't be a replay of yesterday when the STI drop at the last minute for profit taking.

my prev post was when dow was +50. at the last 2 hours the market jump 100+ .. however the volume is just as low as before. not the perfect picture we are looking for with a deforemed inverted head and shoulder. using the head as guideline, it seem we will rally to the prev high to create a double top.

wanna chase stock px? trade smaller lots

The Dow appears to be recovering from the doldrums... +174...

2 rallies in a row!  which is a good sign of better things to come... Smiley

however plz note there is divergence in momentum for the past 3 days. expect some big dip when it retrace, however if we can break 3700, it will be good for mid term.

STI retracement delayed with good movement with DOW. need to see if tomolo can have a good position tomolo. I think Everyone is buying for DEc11 FEd news of rate cut. thus i think we may have small dip till at least 11 dec as victorf predicted.

Mr Mani

I'm a part-time punter. My job took up most of my time. So don't have time to study charts and try to understand complicated technical jargons and analysis lah. Have to rely on lau pengyou, like for tips here and there .... lah...Smiley

What a crazy day. STI up most of the day and then in the last 30 mins, the market fell around 40 points.

POEMS was set up specifically to serve online traders and investors, whereas iOCBC Internet shares trading is an 'adjunct' service added to their main business, which is commercial banking and finance.

Thus a dedicated service like POEMS (and other dedicated services) is the obvious choice as an trading platform. At least until iOCBC or other banks can do better or as good as POEMS in this area... Smiley

Thanks Mani. There are charts in iOCBC, which are found just beside the counter name, "i" icon. I am stuck with iOCBC bcos it supports Macintosh user. But lately, the portal had been failing me and I am even unable to access to the charts, etc. I have been wanting to change a new portal which will be "user friendly". Thanks, I will consider POEMS.

Idesa168... :)

I started with the POEMS. Then I later had an iOCBC account as an alternative.

But sad to say, I experienced great difficulty using the iOCBC interface to navigate my way around. I must say it is not too user-friendly as compared with the POEMS interface. The latter is simply a joy to use.

Due to the difficulty I experienced with the iOCBC interface, I have totally given up using it. And I have not tried the charting facility simply because I couldn't find it in the first place. I vote for POEMS anytime!... Smiley

Hi Mani, I have learnt from your post that you are using POEM internet portal. I am using iOCBC. I am not sure should I change to POEM although I had been with iOCBC for many year now. Have you used iOCBC before? To compare the 2 which would you prefer?

I used Metastock during my commodities futures days. In those days, we enter the EOD date manually daily for a spectrum of commodities, eg cotton, soya beans, Azuki beans, raw silk, cocoon, Tokyo rubber, etc. Then we spend nearly all our waking ours analysing with Metastock.

I no more trade commodities now, and do not use my own Metastock. I only use POEMS daily simple charts with stocks, since it is not so demanding in terms of precision.

As for entry points and such, it comes with experience... but for stocks, it is not critical when you enter,
as long as you  choose to enter at major support/resistance points or pattern breakouts.

The teachings in the "Genie Tutorials" also tell you when to trade... Smiley
