STI look like it may run after lunch. not becoz of fed tonite but becoz of the chart movement. it is telling me it may run later. may only coz the sign is there but weak ones.

This is from a brokerage firm ...

Markets- The STI had corrected after lunch following news that UBS will be
providing US$10billion in provisions for sub prime related losses. This
piece of news had led the index to correct from morning peak of 3570 to a
low of 3516. This appears to be a knee-jerk reaction and we do not think
that the selldown will accelarate. Support for the STI is seen at
3500-3515. Odds of a bounce off this range is high. Our working assumption
is for the index to head towards 3700-3750 over the next 2-3 weeks.

almost all the world's index has Volume divergence in their recent rally which means it is not supported thus the rally may not last.

Stocks may be cheap now. But do not buy just because they are at a low. Do more in depth research first.

This is a good moved, why, with USD depreciating, it is good to invest in CHF instead with 9% interest pa for 2 years. also it is convertible notes

good for short and mid term move. rather than let the usd depreciate, gic is wise to move to other currencies. with this move, expect USD to dip again. in fact GIC should have done it long ago than let the usd slide so much than move.

HSI tanked 385 pts, dow futures down, of course sti drop lah....markets have factored in a 25 basis pt cut; so it'll take a 50 pt cut for a rally tmrw. if it's only 25--which is the consensus--expect further selling tmrw. look at charts of the oct cut; wldn't expect dif.

time next two weeks to hunt the blues and calls for jan...

today newspaper said JP morgan said STI will cross 4800 points next year , very daring prediction..

I always anticipate to learn sth from invest section, The Sunday Times, the interview section with "successful" people. Did you read today newspaper, kanasai... the "guy" said he earn average $2000 per month by choosing penny stock for the top losses of the week or day, ha ha.. what technique is that? simply stupid.

I kinda like his reply while they asked what's your car? He said, BMW.T , bus, mrt, and walk, and sometimes taxi... damn, he is humorous, I like that answer throughout the whole page interview, else are crabs....

Trading volumes on Monday will be very low. Everyone will be waiting in anticipation to see if there is another rate cut in the US.
