Mr OBS also said mentioned that STI might end the year at around 2900. Really frightening...

Frightening, a sea of RED and 10% away from its pyschological barrier at 3000 points.....

Worse is YET to be seen when margin call wipes away all the papar profit....

Negative, perhap......

Well, it plays to be cautious......

Warren Buffett said: "Rule 1, don't lose money. Rule 2, don't forget Rule 1."

Peter Lynch said: "I just don't understand why sometimes intelligent people have the propensity to blow away their money like if they suffer from financial diarrhoea."

Post-1997 financial crisis and talking of the bursting of the Singapore property bubble, Ong Beng Seng said: "We were all like heroes, shoot here, shoot there, everywhere shoot. Now, no more bulletts left."

Worthwhile to remind ourselves once in a while of the wisdom of what the aboves said.

The market is really uncertain now.. Now is using technical analysis or charting oso no use. But for long term holding investment is still safe... patient will win the race.

dun wori, i think not only newbies is cluless, i believe even more experienced ppl cant really tell the direction as this two days of corrections has been too fierce than expected.

market tends to overreact be it bull or bear however what is worrying me is that it seem there is no support from institution frm the low daily volume so far.

Frankly, as a newbies, not too sure where we are heading. Could the low volume due to coming festive seasons: Hari Raya Haji, Christmas and New Year?

I hope so.

What can one expect when the "resident bull" of Morgan Stanley issues a full recssion alert on 12/12/07?

He says that consumers face a "perfect storm"

Not too late to liquidate while there are still optimists around after a 5 year bull market.

For value investors, IMHO I think STI hasn't really bottomed out yet. Watch the 3300/3350 level. If 3306 doesn't hold, bull bets are off and just watch at sidelines 1st. Start hunting only perhaps closer to Xmas. What happens in the next 9 trading days matters quite a lot.

Trade at your own risk, not an inducement to short/buy undervalued stocks yet.

If STI manage to climb above 3637.18 on coming days, then the rebound is considered as successful and get ready for rally.

Vice versa, prepare for new lower low.
