I don't think Singapore's market is going to crumble this year. Singapore's economy will still do reasonably well this year. I would avoid tech stocks exposed to US market though.

seeing this particular week of trade...technically we rebound back as the 3000 support is rather strong and UOB Kayhian had actually made a point on that too

Hi Victorian, we should be near the end of wave 4 going  to wave 5. However do note that wave 5 can be negated with recession and wave 4 can still drop till 2500. hence we must must trade with proper mgmt rules.

the reason why i think this is wave 4 end as the signal for wave 4 maybe here. we need 1 week to confirm it as will be like late december where i make a wrong prediction move.

with today STI movement, it seem the local bbs must be expecting something to go on in US soon. Early next week may see some big movement

Market is now seen to be heading sideway. Might see a minor technical rebound next week due to Fed intervention tonight. Bargain hunting is the keyword now.

cashiertan,

It is generally the case between the 4th wave and the 5th wave, there is huge drop over a period of time followed another long run in the 5th?

Where do you think are we? 4th or end of th?

as many of the stocks closed at day high thou still in red, this can be consider quite bullish. chances are we can see somemore climbing. as can see the distribution is not as heavy as before thou DOW drop 300 points. tonite DOW may do something unexpected . next week may be some rebounce. reversal or not we shall see how it goes, thou part of me think there should be a reversal to start wave 5.

Sell at rebounce before too late. Will you think the bull market will last for another 1-2 years despite to US market performance?

5th day of intra-day flunctuation of 50-100 points during uncertainty period we called (proven right again and again)....Coming Monday will be a crucial day to decide whether the uncertainty will end earlier or longer....and short/mid/long term holders just need to get their money ready to jump in once the uncertainty period is over...good luck :)

another day of consecutive intra-change of 50-100 points since 14th Jan. for uncertainty period as called by us in November 2007...think today the fourth day and still counting...but this uncertainty will not last long due to the early year effect (think maximum 2-3 weeks or lesser, and will make the call once certainty is here)...good luck trading and it is silver lining and good for long term investor (if they are not holding any stocks now and wanting to invest as there are lots of undervalued stocks)

No need to look at STI at all. To sell into strength at the right timing, eg yesterday afternoon, look at HSI, Nikkei, and others, EXCEPT STI!  Some people cry, some people laugh, some sigh, all in an afternoon. Some lose fast, some win fast!

still waiting for HSI to open...however i personally feel that the DOW -300 over points had already affect us to quite a max already..the HSI shldn't add on to our further woes...anyway...technically...if it doesn't break 3000...STI shld be good for another slight rebound

With DJ plunged 306 early this morning, its gonna to be another Black Friday in local market. Shorting would be the main game today, for some. Cheers.

The fear is at its high point, with DOW, NK and HSI strong reverse southwards, STI unlikely to keep its footing sigh
