I'm using the trend detection  model, developed by a taiwanese professor, with high reliability reading.

Yes. I was watching it. Just plain shocking eh? Most likely its fund houses taking profit from their intraday trade. HSI likely played a part too.

A parabolic chiong up almost always warrants an inevitable parabolic drop. In short, STI 3130 was way overbought.

Anyone notice a sudden drop in STI from 100plu points down to only 72 points in just a mintue?

Why?

Anyone saw the STI reversal 5 mins ago? That's just an intraday reversal.

As for what happens to DOW Jones, I'd like to think that there is indeed a reversal if we base it purely on candlestick. The latest 2 candles form a tweezer pair after a series of downselling days.

Of course, expect more 200pt upheavals. The swing could well go 2 ways.

asleep, as for me, i never define actually how long or short a trend could be, but i have to keen monitor the daily indicators to seek for any trend changing's clues.  Paper loss is the real loss, atleast, in my dictionary.

Good luck, cheers.

Reversal means change of the trend (from downtrend to uptrend or vice versa), excluding thoese accidental immediate news take into account. (A serious News could easily adverse a trend, an exception that will override any  TA and FA status.)

you are using base on fibonacci retracement for 61.2% right? Like i said, it might or might not be a real reversal. There is so much overhead resistance from above, it is too early to tell.

Maybe you are much braver than me Smiley But I'd rather wait for a more confirmed upward trend to play long. Like they always say, the higher the risk, the more the rewards. Cheers!

If Dow able to climb above 12441.85 and closing with green tonight, 50% for its reversal is confirmed.

reversal in terms or what? A major trend? or a very short term trend? A trend does not end in days or even weeks.

Its too early to tell if there is actually a trend change again.

DOW has to climb above 12809.29 (+539.12 from yesterday closing) to confirm its reversal.

Some say technical rebound .....

Was the down more than the up ..... or the up more than the down ..... ?

Any view ?

Really. Everyone is lost like in the dark jungle.

There is no compass, no sunlights and not stars to guide you.

Stay cool in position and wait for further directions.

our take for the market is still the same since 2 days again...and seldom we post any recommendations during uncertainty period but the STUPID plunge two days ago make us feel that it is illogical, and our take is still the same as two days ago...tomorrow will be a crucial day to decide when the uncertainty ends (or otherwise)...good luck trading

there is no good reason for the shares to drop at these level and it is STUPID to sell at the current price (IRRATIONAL PESSIMISM)...as said before, this provides apportunity for long term holders to buy the shares (do not buy all at one time but bit by bit as the uncertainty may end within 6 or 14 days time..exact date to be confirmed and i will make a call)...good luck and not for contra trading

7th consecutive day of intra-flunctuation of 50-100 points since 14th Jan. for the uncertainty period we called....we have been proven right again and again (please refer to the last few calls in October and August also)...in the last one we called, there are at least 8-15th consecutive day of intra-flunctuation of 50-100 points...and MARKET is always RIGHT....and we will always let the MARKET prove whether we are right for any call (since 2007 when we start to post comment on this website)....good luck :)

mirage, what you saw is the old index, frozen on Jan 9.

All the free services, including, not limited to services such as Yahoo finance, DBSV, etc are not able to displayed the new revamped index.

Anyway we can get the index from many other sources...covered by some forums.
