yea pikachu, it's majorly screwed. pardon the lang. You gotta love the naive optimism of America tho. that housing sales fell by 26% (largest dip since the previous recession!) but the DJIA shot up 100 pts last fri, precisely cos of this, cos then, the hopes for a rate cut were higher!

Agree about the dead cat bounce. The US is screwed liao. The rate cut (if it happens) will only serve as a short-term relief. The fundamental problems still exist.
the economic data is out. US GDP grew by 0.6% only in 4Q, way down from the 1.2% forecasted, and the 4.9% in the 3Q. cfm recession lah. fed will def cut; their hands are tied. but it's gonna be a dead cat's bounce either way. cmi.

Ya the chart does tell a v clear story.. Its really an art to master it but apparently not alot of ppl know how to interpret it including myself..
There is a book about BBs psychology and how to counter it. I saw it once in the City Hall MPH selling for $15+ and it is a thin white book written by a ex local remiser. plz note it is a book for s'pore market and how the BBs in spore manipukate the spore stock market. It is a much better buy than a ebook which someone is trying to sell as it allows me to know how to trade local stocks profitably.
Not much ppl knew abt the book and i knew the writer was threatedn with death threat becoz he reveal the secret of the BBs
Tonight will be a fight to see if the buyers outnumber the sellers.

actually no need for a book on the psychology of BB...the technical charts tell us the psychology of the counters and BB actions already...not a 100% accurate level...but it does tell us a story...for us to interpret
Someone should write a book on Psychology of BB. The readers sure would be in win-win situation.

Guess most of the BBs will be waiting for the sell down tml after Feb announcement tonight as the markert plunge tml if results are not good.
May be today they sell off most of their holdings to load up more bullets for the next few days....

Not quiet for Kepland, it earned 7.8b last yr and it is going to give net 20 cents dividend. See whether you can grab it in the first timing this morning if you missed it during last Mon and yesterday. It closed at 6.45, but I took it at 6.47 despite the market slump on last Mon. See can get beer money this morning, if not wait for Fed announcement tonite and sell it tommorrow morning.

Keppel Corp will announce its result on 31 Jan 08. But it already dropped 22 cents and 4 cents on last Mon and yesterday respectively. It will go up today.
Today will be another quiet day. Everyone will be waiting for the hopefully good news tonight from the Fed.
DOW got a bullish engulfing candle however the resistance at 12500 is very strong. not sure if able to break it as it is a valid phsycological level and also support turned resistance level.

I made some new analysis on the current STI situation. It seems to be sandwiched between 2 gaps now and the rally a few days ago was a false one since it was done with declining volume. U can check out my humble opinion here.
