buy and keep is long tested and proven and it will always be true. The only thing is HOW LONG must u hold ? 3 yrs ? 5 yrs ?
there will be rebound (it's the nature of mathematics), but it'll likely not be as strong as what people are hoping for.
Yup. The trend is well defined couple months ago.
Same commandments for the same strategy.

If DOW tonight closing with green (must), reversal is then under the way. And the next is to identify the DOW's bullishness (by making 'long' will be more easier to profit when in such a state) , DOW have to break thru 12809.29 (+430.68 more from yesterday closing). Please take note also for this, if DOW failed to do so (decimal place figure have to take into account as well), then too bad, must run as fast as you can and please don't look back.. (by making 'short' will be more easier to profit when in such state) |
Under such volatile trading atmosphere, Buy and Keep is not the best policy already, for most of the counters. Shorting and Contra now are the main games. As I posted earlier that broking house had rejected my short on SGX while it was 7.46. Immediately, I changed plan, I hunt for the lowest SGX. Waited for hrs with eyes staring at the screen and fingers get ready on the mouse, and efforts made was not wasted, (back pain being sitting so long) I cought SGX at 7.04, though it flipped to 7.02 for seconds but no time to change the order.
Lets see how much copi money can get by end of the day. Cheers.
technical rebound i suppose will be coming soon, but will it be strong enough to sustain ?
Feb rate cut, any amount, has no imminent impact on US local market as well as the Global one, as US now is focusing on tackling inflaction. Henceforth, don't do anything drastic which you thing the Feb rate cut will bring you fortune. Lets see and wait.
A rebound coming?
Then logically the petrol players shouldn't keep increasing their pump price. They are using higher oil price to keep increasing price but they earn in local currency so their cost are actually not increasing since the local currency has appreciated against USD.
The high oil prices is due primarily to the weakening US Dollar rather than supply & demand. If the US$ is tending down further (already projected), the the price of US$120 for oil is no surprise. Likewise for a lot of other commodities too.
the trend chart touching bottom of bollinger bands... upside coming?
Oil price expected to trade above USD120 within 2 months time.
futures contract showing 50-point rate cut chances are high.
wah still got so long... can tahan meh ? or will there be another surprise rate cut like last time
18 Mar 2008 Singapore Time : 3:15am
anyone knows whats the date for FED's meeting regarding rate cuts ? singapore time... thks
we are currently extremely near the 12000 psychologically barrier of the DOW...looking at historical data ..on the 18 Jan Friday when it closed below 12100...the following Monday on the 22 Jan major meltdown...and plunged all the way to 11634 lowest....
i really hope we don't see a repeat of history....
coincidentally...today is a Friday ....
late morning and maybe early afternoon time...there's still hope of ppl buying up...however when the mind get tuned in to a possible bad release of US economic data regards to the "Unemployment Rate" & "Consumer Credit" ...moreover its Friday...'
volumes will be low once again...
Now ST has plunged over 1000 pts since 11 Oct 07(ST 3875.11). A lot of small timers had got their fingers burnt and they are still recovring. However, casualties still rising. Hence, the support gradually weaken. Many mile stones along the road leading the market black hole but still can't see U turn sign on the roadside yet. The next ST support line would likely be 2750 leow.
Aiii... Cheng Meng is around the corner, must go graveyard to pray hard already.
Victorf, you around? Now STI has break the 2900 support. Still higher high or the market has turn?
What's the outcome for STI and Asia.....Seas of Red is expected as Europe and US are all in the RED...furthermore, tonight data on employment is not expected to be rosy........sigh......another volatile and downward session today.....
Tighten youe seat belt....DOW is down 215 points and more to come tonight....
STI breaking 2900 level for sure....ha..ha...we will know this evening don't we....
