better run, wait for Q3. to see and verify
We shld see 2788 tested on Monday; might be opening price. Perhaps then a small test of the 2746-2750 zone.
And then... Hopefully... a small climb back to 2800 - 2801 - just to see if the 2800 support holds.
2800 level is a goner...
Just trade with care in this down turn, anyone read today 15-3-2008, Sat ST paper on S29 Money page....US Sub-Prime write-offs maybe another S$28B higher to a tune on US$1.2 trillion lost, more to come, rather then less to come as pool of more defaulters loans will deteriorated continually, so this year end will see some good news, bad news is also around to haunt us, like ever increases in oil prices, commodities prices and deteriorated comsumers confident, thus seeing recession in US.
Please take a look at the weekly charts of DJIA and S&P500. I think they tell us where STI is headed. (and some say shouldered as well)
On the Brink of Collapse, Bear Stearns Gets a Lifeline From a Rival and the Feds
NEW YORK (AP) -- On the verge of a collapse that could have shaken the very foundations of the U.S. financial system, investment bank Bear Stearns Cos. was bailed out Friday by a rival and the federal government. The near-miss raised new alarm about the credit crisis -- and whether other big firms might be in jeopardy.
The rescue came from JPMorgan Chase & Co. and, in an extraordinary step, the Federal Reserve, both rushing to pump new money into the venerable Wall Street firm after its financial state deteriorated so much in a 24-hour period that it threatened to fail.
Well, we are in for turbulent times now. Who is next?

STI charts:
pls be aware that there have been 2 rebounds off the 2,800 level. the 2nd rebound was less than the first: ie, lower high. lows at equal level. ie, M formation is more or less in place already. we just need the break below 2,800.
In probability terms, esp with current macro trends, there's a much higher chance of breaking downwards from 2,800 than of rising to ~3,000 (the previous support),as the latter needs to occur on increasing buy vol as well.
although CPI remains....read deeper into the reports...it says...it is maintaining at that level - for now only.
i can presume the CPI for March will most likely shoot high...well...guess we have seen for this month much of news about inflation and how dollar weakens non-stop...and oil breaking records...
May be another nice surprise from Mr.FED again... say 75 basis pts. Cheong up or down?
Let's wait for the CPI data and also the Fed chairman next Tue report on whether he will reduce 0.5% in Fed rate.
I will see more volatility over the few months, you will see more downside in the stocks market. We will see the high inflation affecting the market.
Rebound again when drop thru 2800. How long can this last?
now accurately 2800 at lunch time................this will be very interesting...
lunch time soon in about 45mins...looking at the STI charts...it is a see-saw day...wonder how it will end by today...because tonight we are expecting the CPI from US Markets...and its a Friday...probably not many ppl will want to sigh* over the weekend should US give us another bombshell like their retail sales last night
According to Analysts report, if 2800 support is lost, next target maybe 2500 - 2600 liao.
even if go down....still hope that it will be above 2800...won't look good if it closes below that
my view is morning up, afternoon down.
just on the lookout for 2800 support level see can hold or not...or rebound back up...really clueless about how the direction will go today...will greed or fear win today.........
My opinion is not to buy and keep at this volatile market. If you want to short or contra, keep low volumn for kopi or mee robus will do. Cheers.
Help!!!!!..Ahh
is not over yet...
, then credit squeeze
, next credit crunches
, credit melt.......
