think today surged way too high...slow & steady should be the way to climb up gradually...

as what Singaporegal had mentioned...the rally is not supported by volume...indeed it looked very weak in volumes today

LESSON NUMBER 1 IN THE STOCK MARKET;

THE MARKET IS BIGGER , STRONGER AND BADDER THAN YOU. ALWAYS RESPECT IT FOR THE BEAST IT IS.

See today - the large increases in index is not supported by large volumes.

This is not a sustainable rally. Better to be cautious.

saw the newspapers today that has a comment that says STI might trend between 2800-2950 this week...currently it is in the region of 2900...like not much space to move up as compared to if it is at 2800...seems quite high today...and not much big swings as noticed by Ozone2002

Hi fivestar:  If democrats keep fighting, think republicans may have an easier time winning.

With Mr. Ma Yingjiu selected as Taiwan president, Tanwan stock market will rocket up Monday. As it also relieves the Taiwan straits tension and regional peace is more secured in next few years, we shall see a good response on local markets.

USA president election is near too and more likely democratic party will win.

So personally I am quite optimistic in long term. Bottom is near too.

Dear Tanglinboy,

Generally speaking, it indicates pre BULLISH sign, I think.

let's not linger on this topic any longer as the more we talk about it...the lower the spirits are and seen some regulars are leaving Sharejunction forum gradually...

we shall get back to the topic on the stocks market....so for a "re-start" on this forum topic...

anyone with views that it will be another black candle day whereby people profit-take like what we have seen for the past week (after DOW went up few hundred points)...or will we see some confidence injected with people buying up as there are more recent reports of a bottom being reached

Yes, I noted they exiled themselves voluntarily too. They started quite friendly with each other chatting here, then suddenly for some reasons sparks became explosive firework.  Of course, people are free to come and go. But to go in an acrimonious manner is rather bad.

Are you referring to the infamous incident mid last year on SJ?

All the parties involved seems to have gone on self-imposed exile liao.

Disagreement is common in any discussions. It is ok, if we remain civil. when I first posted, people were more cordial and agreed to disagree.

then suddenly, there was this posted incident where one party sued another for libel over each other's postings.

now there are more belligerent postings. look like the rot has set into this place. Smiley

Quite true - SJ is still relatively civil compared to others.

However, from my spectator's view point since I first posted, the rot has certainly creeped in. sigh..........
