hey cashiertan,

yeps, i've been buying and selling quick; don't hold beyond 3 days. Partly cos i'm on hols; so not always in front of the comp; prefer to lock in rather than risk a whole afternoon gone.

longer term (2-4 weeks), calls may be the direction to go tho. Depends, we're kinda at the pivot point now. I'd say the signs are for up. My last trade today, then wait for market direction to turn before deciding which warrants to get.

good luck! :)

will likely be setting up forex acct when i get back. should have shorted the USD/JPY pair since it was 102.

elfin,

i still holding on to half of the Call warrents i have brought last week as mentioned in this forum. wah u so quick sell all?

others,

no harm taking some profit for some of those who in profit now. selling part of your portfolio to lock in some profit while rally may not be a bad decision.

If you look at the chart of some of the shares, they have been coming down since last year till now. Then it makes double bottom. Well anything can happen in shares. When you buy much later when there is a "confirmed uptrend" there is always a chance (and it has happened before during these times), you could be caught when the price comes down.

Woah

Mkt is really crazy today, seems like the bull is back, big timers are back and prop are racking up the trades in FULL FORCE. But aunties and uncles r still standing back waiting for the pullback. Aint going to happen, any pullback is just an excuse to buy more - however I'm seeking to exit ard 3rd week of April as Merrill and friends annouce their earnings.

The buyup volume has been VERY strong - from what I can gather, its mostly from foreign houses - since the selldown was fast - I expect the buyup to be fast as well, with many pullbacks as investors take profit due to fear but it should aim for 3,200.

Anyways just my 2 cents, many lost on the down but when the upside comes, they r worried and miss it only to catch it when its coming down .... Sigh

Shares cannot keep falling. Just like Synear is cheap food but it cannot possibly be free food.

STI move up significantly today. This is accompanied by high trading volume(2325M) and value(2581M). It's a good sign. The bulls seem to be making a comeback!!!

If US don't pour out bad news for this week, today paper stated the 3050 is the next support level. But really can't believe them already. Just look at yesterday and today, many people will march to the bank tomorrow. Some banking in money and some may need to take out money leow, stock market is like that leow loh. Hope to have more good days to come, for all our friends in this forum. Cheers. Friend called me to go for beer already, join you all later. Yah, BTW, keep on eyes on the news paper over the causeway. Things are getting bad leh. God bless. CHEERS

looking at some brokerage firms' analysts saying the trading should be between 2800-2950...the Straits Times money section also commented that we will be trading this range for the week...and Business Times quoted bad market sentiments....

never would had been able to guess it will break above the 3000 level on a Tuesday..now exactly at 3000 level...today's volume is something that hasn't been seen for some time already too...2,325.7 million

even if it pass 3000.... it is still significantly below 3800 in Oct 07. At least another 10-20% upside to go before it reach the previous stage.

yeps. break in HK is good. :)

trading: locked in my calls today (bought yest).

note that standard pattern for DJIA is rally for three days, then start to peter out. The level to break is 12750. Sustained.

Where there's hope is that gold is dropping; means global funds are shifting out of commodities. The question is if it is entering equities again, or staying in cash (ie, commods down, equities down. alt is equities up, commods down as the other scenario).

Keep eye on gold as the weathervane. As long as it stays down, market will be up. wait for the pivot point to decide up or down direction to play.

can expect some pullback tomorrow or day after. that's why i chose to lock in calls today. see how.
