indeed it even went over 100points last night...however the last hour ...looking at the charts..it fell quite steeply...still quite volatile we can see in the market of today

read today Straits Times 'Money' section and saw the advise of an analyst asking people to sell should there be a rebound rally

As long as DJIA closes above 12527.8, STI will go UP.

If DJIA closes above 12574, STI will gap up.

If DJIA closes at 12493 or less, STI will gap down.

In any case, looking at the current DJIA, the buying strength seems good. But what matters is the closing level.

Caveat emptor.

Daily volumes on the exchange are still unimpressive. I'm waiting for the day when daily volumes are consistently above 2 billion shares.

Market price volatility progressively and surely no longer as wild as before and keep diminishing week by week and to day by day eventually, also market will trade correspondingly lower and lower in week by week and day by day as well successively!!! Be cautious, short sellers playing field will be harder and harder as market will only thinly traded on the coming near future.(Noted: Just my personal view, disregard if you do not agree with them)

I am a little more pessimistic. I am expecting bottom at 2,550 (500 more pts down). This is mainly contributed by the finacial and property counters. Commodity counters should be less affected, and maybe there might be an uptrend. Overal, not so rosy!

confusing market in which HSI keeps going in and out of the green/red region....Singapore wise...we pretty much affected by Cosco today ...seeing quite some of my watchlist counters not moving in the late morning onwards...stagnant

currently we are ended the morning session with volume of about 850million in the negative region...hmmm...i saw Kim Eng analysis that we are not gonna see the end of the pullback yet...it will be in the region of 3000 level...currently we are still 70 points away...quite far...hopefully it comes soon so that we can rebound from there...hopefully

Take a break, after facing the screen for hrs, no thrill at all. Except the component stock, Cosco Cp pulled down STI a couple of points. Banks and other component stocks staying steady at the Top Gainer Chart, providing the Index uptrend foundation.

We definitely will see +ve sign after the announcement of 1Qtr GDP anytime  from now, with exception that HSI and SHI don't stir shits at later part of the trading day. Lets cheers.

gloom n doom report

SHANGHAI, China - Chinese stocks have fallen Wednesday, with the benchmark
Shanghai Composite Index shedding 5.5 percent as jittery investors unloaded
shares in an afternoon sell-off.

The 198.63-point decline in the Shanghai index, to 3,413.91, caps a
three-day streak of advances that brought share prices back from one-year
lows hit last week.

Market heavyweight PetroChina pulled the index lower, dropping 4.9 percent
to 17.31.

Financial stocks also fell sharply. Industrial & Commercial Bank of China
fell 4.1 percent to 6.04 yuan. Shanghai Pudong Development Bank fell 7.5
percent to 34.55 yuan. Bank of China fell 3.5 percent to 5.01 yuan

HSI drops further after lunch break...should we maintain in such a deep sea of red...we are likely to influence the US Markets in a way too....times have changed and if we are so deeply red now...our influencing might make US flat or red (unless they have great news today)...and when they turn red...we will also get fried tomorrow...

wonder if tml's Singapore GDP data will sway us towards some bright side or not...
