a mixture of green & red...at least its not in a uniform colour of red which many expect as we r cautious of the FOMC and GDP from the US ahead of us tonight...surprisingly early morning STI quite flat...unlike past few days or like last week made up of penny stocks & China counters in the top volume...today is blue chips..a rotation it seems..

well...as many staying sideline before taking the cue from US tonight...very impt*...today we shld see a small volume like the past two days...hope to see the volume surge like last week...high volume past 3200 again soon next week

1st May......jobless claims, personal income, consumer spending, core pce price index  n  ism mfg index AND 2nd May.....nonfarm payrolls, unemployment rate n factory orders........these economic data influence dow, if negatv expect dow to plunge on our 2nd May  n  3rd May respectively....our 2nd   n  3rd  May is the beginning of huge correction but, of course is beginning of rally......so negatv data = correction n  positv data = rally.......imho former chances higher than latter's.

Under current market condition it may not be wise to always wait for strong volume. This is what has happened not once but a few times. Some stocks have broken upper bollinger band but the next day it falls dramatically down.

When volume is low, start accumulating at different prices. If you wait for confirmed uptrend and strong voulme, you could be caught.

When you learn TA, it is not neccesary to always stick to what is being taught. You adapt and improvise. Just my opinion. Good luck!

Two hands and both legs up to agreed. As far as you can make profit over the markets, you are a wise guy, be it shorting or longing, he he.

Dear Victorf

I am still holding to my positions (cash & cpf) until May or June 2008 which in my own opinion should see the STI reaching 3500 (far fetched?). I do not have the luxury of time to monitor the screen at odd hours or every day and  night. I have followed your readings of the market. Am I foolhardy not to sell in this present market to realise my profit? Your insight and comment will be very much appreciated.

Regards

Dear Victorf,

Can you kindly give your view on the direction of the STI for the next few months after mid-April (either after 14th or 21st)

Have a nice day.

the drop in US was a surprise to us...however, all indicators have pointed to us that STI have bottomed in the short term and we will carry on to buy on dip ...believe that the rebound will be fast and furious ...good luck and Happy Lunar New Year (judge us in mid-April then as day-to-day flunctuation is ignored but the trend is worth more, and you can always condemn us if our call is wrong by that time)
