STI to cross 3000 boosted by long-term investors

From.......Over night DOW performed, ending on a slight postive note

Report summary for May 14, 2008 (Wed)
FTSE fell on board market due to quake in China Chengdu by one per cent (-1% or 5.06 points), to 491.34 points, meanwhile big loser included blue chips that spearhead the rally since March 20008. SGX lost 20 cents to $8.82, DBS group fell 14 cents to $20.02 and Wilmar Int'l declined by 10 cents to $4.96.
STI index gyrating within tight range of 36 points all day before closing 4.91points down to 3,198.51. Market mere turnover shares is 1.38bil worth  $1.49 bil
Over night DOW performed, ending on a slight postive note (+66.2 points to 12898.38) 
Today (Thurs) market sentiment remain cautious, trade with care for this two day, ending Friday (Profiting Taking)

STI has been ding dong-ing between 3200 -3220 range.. sign of a breakout? up or down u decide..

It is going to be same same for today, just like yesterday, profiting taking end of the day.

Quite a few people feel that they must wait for that "ideal price" before they buy a stock. There is nothing wrong with that. Just that the "ideal price" don't come all the time. To me, it is not about looking for that "ideal price" all the time.

You find those with this "ideal price' mentality usually end up npt buying shares most of the time or usually "miss the boat".

Yes I agree. No venture, no gain.

Anyway Dow was strong last evening amist mixed economic data. Any wonder how sti wld do today?

sti nowadays depends on nikkei n hsi unless dow is negtv or postv by 3-digit pts???  dow wud probably close flat 2morrow.

STI higher at midday Singapore stocks ended the morning higher with the benchmark Straits Times Index up 18.26 points, or 0.57 per cent, at 3,216.77.

Some 805.5 million shares exchanged hands. Gainers beat losers 277 to 222.

So.... looking at Japan who is still climbing but Hong Kong is declining to -166 now....

 

What u guys expect on the second half? alot of seller for coming holiday or buy up on uprising stocks?? Any comments are welcome...

 

Of cos i hope of the latter decision that buyers will take cue from here,.... ANy comment? Smiley

Thu(T+3) and Fri(T+4), ref Mon, generally considered as potential Profit Taking days.

Yzj not affected by quake. See price during show time, 110+/- 2 cts reasonable price. AK view only. AK bought it below a dollar.

u referring to the 2 red chips?  im looking to collect but chart says wait a while more... hope im rite, cos if shipbuilder complete early and boat sails off, no stopping the recovery.
