really no eye see leow, still ok loh, close mid day at -ve 1.32. will be dead slow after market reopen.
Volume is only 377.7m.... Looks like it will end the day with less than a billion...
the thing is that it seems the market already sianz...don't want to move ..thus buying put warrants/gold or shorting may not be viable too...we just need more activity in the market...its a ghost town now...volume at the mid-day today is extremely low..think our start of July shall commence with ard 0.8billion ..well..tt's just a guess

the movement is very slow...almost coming to a snail pace with such low volume
I've been sideline for quite sometime already. Can't make quick money so might as well don't risk yourself.

somehow the June volume always managed to squeeze past the 1 billion mark even just by a small margin...today 1 July...hopefully a fresh new outlook for the 2nd half of the year
looking at current volume...probably we might see the day end with below 1 billion mark
I think you are not the only one....

Hi elf,
What is "UJ" pair?

well, the UJ pair has inexplicably turned bullish. haha.
just have a feeling that the big banks are manipulating stocks, forex and commodities majorly to scalp as much profit as possible before they release results.
Anyone remembers, about 3 weeks back, ALL of them said "The worst is behind us"???
CWQuah, good call on the levels. :) personally wouldn't wanna play though. cos the trouble is that it's rotational play, and you won't know which stock the BBs are targetting til the day itself. so profits likely very thin for the range. it's actually a very tight range to play.
rather sit out and wait to collect slowly. UIC and KE having consistent share buybacks now. hehe. lets see if prices will dip below their support. if yes, it's a strike on dip philo.
caveat applies; not vested in the named counters now.
Absolutely agree. That's how those hedge funds make their moolah.
Then again, since hedge funds are run by people to make profit, it's inevitable that certain patterns will emerge over time.
Like for example, the 'normal' daily range of STI is often 30-35pts, regardless of volume. Many ways to skin a cat, many ways to squeeze money out of the mkt.
in times when the volume is weak...the market can be pushed easily either way...

Might be worth watching Asian markets a while more - STI, HSI, theoretically formed an uptrend on INTERDAY basis. Nikkei on the other hand, isn't looking too bullish.
For STI expect heavy resistance at 2962, 2970 and 2978 tomorrow; break above 2970 is considered bullish; successful break above 2978 may bring STI to test 3001. However, realistically, with oil above $143, I opine STI would trade between 2947 to 2978 instead.
As for HSI, expected range is 22043-22275; a break above 22275 would likely result in a test of 22381; the most optimistic bull would be capped around 22455. But, if 22043 fails as a support, 22102, 21901 are the next 2 crucial supports.
Nikkei - Potential change of trend in the works; currently in consolidation. 13504 is the critical support; failure to hold would see 13454 being tested. 13540 likely to be a resistance; but if USDYen somehow turns bullish, there is hope for a conversion to uptrend.
i think it's like what our local sg chinese says "Big Stick Liao....!!!" (ang mo direct translation - Deep Sh*t...!!!!)
