or you can short one lot at 2.4 ..... 240 only mah.....

u can wait  for another crisis to hit you buying price.....middle east is up and coming...

eastcivic      ( Date: 13-Apr-2011 19:00) Posted:

ok good luck!

since you were talking about cosco, i think you can afford to short 5 lots of cosco at $2.40..... 5 lots at $2.40 would be $1,200 if i'm not wrong.....

please note that $2.40 is  for illustration purpose  only.... i don't know if cosco will really go up to $2.40 and also don't know if $2.40 is juicy peak to short

ha ha.....

good analysis.....

but I like to give an answer ...... definitely worthy of shorting if it really hit $3 .....

eastcivic      ( Date: 14-Apr-2011 00:34) Posted:

yes it's uptrend has been impressive.....

but take a look at what happen after 19th Jan 2011. on that day cosco close at 2.42 and the next day  it went down all the way till 18th March 2011 to hit 1.81.......

i'm not saying that if it hits the 2.4 region, the same thing will happen...... but it just might happen.....  nobody knows for sure Smiley 1

U seriously thinking of shorting? Pple talking abt $3 and new highs. Looking at the trading pattern, this bugger has been trending up min 8cts every week. From 1.81 on 18th March to now $2.32, 30% uptrend... Impressive..

really depends on how much savings you have and how much you can afford to lose.

a 'good amount' to start is very subjective......

but i think i can  share with  you a good way to start...... deposit what you are prepared to lose into the CFD account and  treat it as your tuition/school fees. start off with small trades, and tell yourself that you are prepared to lose this amount of money.

yea more or less i have an idea of how cfd works..

i have talked to my broker about it..

just wanna know wat's the good amount to start with..

looking cosco now... looks juicy

eplepl      ( Date: 13-Apr-2011 17:43) Posted:

actually cfd is a much better tool, but i do not know how much fund u got.

say you have 100 K in the bank  then withdraw 10K and keep in cfd account. I think it could be good start to make more  than the interest rate  bank give in fixed deposit.

since cfd required you to pay upfront 10% eg.  58,000 for 5 lots of semb mar, is 5,8K  .....

but if there is a margin call,  for example  semb marine hit 6 dollars, u need to top up 200 bucks.... so with 10K effectively you do not need to take any action.
