ec bb, just wat is stx trying to do?
*_* ... i almost wanted to throw in the towel.
Eveyone can make money if got such easy method.The price will drop back on XD.

Bought using cash account instead of cfd..... Normally like u said u buy before the result and contra on xd date, u earn the dividend and maybe on xd date u sell at the buying price..... U can really make money !

EPL, i have not once mentioned anything like this before. Neither had i advised anyone on how to manage the pre dividend position, you should not quote me as such.
There is no free lunch nor sure win in this market. I've not used contra before & neither the faith to believe that trading with a restricted timeframe would help in managing a position.

just be aware that in most cases, on the XD day, the stock will open gap down, and usually the gap is as big as the dividend or even more.
but i thought on xd date itself the stock price will drop which equates to the dividend?

for the dividend you will get 31c per share. so if you have 1 lot of sembmar, you'll receive $310.
share price on xd 26th april...... i don't know. it might drop 31c or maybe more?... or maybe drop 20c or maybe lesser? nobody know |
