Singapore is number 1 in non-Financial Infrastructure ONLY.
Singapore's Financial Software Platform and Infracstructure SUCK.
That is one reason why majority of CPF investors are lossers rather than winners.
All the share trading platforms and systems break down regularly.
No one maintains an Operationally Sustainable System to Customers' DELIGHT.
I have heard about all the frustrations during investors and traders' Critical Moments.
When can Singapore be No. 1 in Financial Infracstructure!?
I was also told that in Hong Kong, there is no custodian fee on foreign shares.
And, most of all, in Hong Kong, there is no GST.
Probably for these reasons, Hong Kongers do not buy Singapore shares.
But i know Singaporeans are buying Hong Kong shares.
The best lesson to learn is everyone and everyone, in all guises, is after more $money$,... hehehe...
There's no other lesson as valuable as this... that is money is behind everything.
If i were a broker, i will keep clean distance with my clients and will not offer any tips for this might end up clients' loosing money. My friend scolded a broker and closed the a/c for he lost some money. What an unreseonable person he is. P/s, brokers are just like you and me, human beings and also, some people very rude to insurance agents, property agents, thinking that they take our commissions and they must serve us...........they are just earning a living and deserve those COMMISSIONS and they are our fellow SINGAPOREANs! (I am not property/insrurance agetns/brokers.
How to improve brokerage firm's service in singapore?
They should categorise few different groups of brokers serving different types of clients - either based on clients trading limits. If this is not possible, few operators should be around to answer calls when the internet service is out of order so as to avoid clients' losses (big or small).
Any more add ons?
Brokers and remisiers are not teachers... your education is not their business... don't put unnecessary burden on them...
And in any case, there is no way to learn about the stock market other than by losing a lot of money.
Thus, all stock talk with others is just a waste of everyone's time.
If you read this, you are benefitting a lot for your education. Jokes aside.... hehehe...
Depend on yourself and this is how the world works, really very sad right but challenging.

I think it just dont happen to POEM. It happens to me at ocbc platform also - this broker who thinks that he has every rights to reprimand me everything i enquire for something, saying that I am too green, I should set up this margin account, set up that share borrowing account, ask me buy this counter and that counter.. then when things didnt turn out well, he tells you that you see, I am teaching you a lesson, see, how do you feel about losing $XX k?
When you thought you can seek for guidance from the broker, you texted him out of politeness that you dont want to disturb him during peak period, and next he just call and reprimand me, saying can you please dont waste my time, what do you want now?
At times, it makes me wonder who the client is, who is needing who to make the money. Alright, perhaps I am just a small fly whose trades are insignificant to the broker. I really felt that my broker is absolutely rude and I wish to file a complaint, would it be possible?
Previously, when I started I was too naive to listen every single words from him and the result was a total losses of almost all my capital. So note again, never listen to broker. I certainly do hope that there are some ways where we can trade without brokers one day, these brokers need a big knock on their heads.. the service level in this industry is really too lousy.. to the extreme.. :(

My personal experience with POEMS is that sometimes, during heavy trading volume days, I have problems logging in. Tried using POEMS mobile too as a backup mode, but recently even that gave way.
No problems with my broker though. Quite responsive.

Are there many brokerage firms in singapore? Tks.
I think I posted this somewhere before. I have been with Poems for many years and have experienced not many problems. Only 1 time, I can't log in to their system.
My broker is polite and responsive to my requests. I'm quite surprised to hear so many complaints, actually.
