Capland CEO. Mr Liew said low-end homes prices expected to stay stable. Last mth Capland reiterated its target to launching 800-1000 units this year. (isit B''cos Capland is launching??, so mtk is stable)
Developers face by credit squeeze, falling sales and lower prices, (In S''pore) Developers are getting ready to release mass- to mid-market condos, encouraged by the response to modestly-priced developments recently.
Industry sources say demands exists, but only at low-end against backdrop of a much quieter property mkt. While high-end projects, shot up to unrealistic levels during the property boom last year.
Analysts say mkt turned silent, led some project that home prices will fall by as much as 40% over d next 2 years.

(SINGAPORE) Developers are getting ready to release mass- to mid-market condos, encouraged by the response to modestly-priced developments recently.
Vietnam. Keppel Land, CapitaLand, Guocoland, Fraser & Neave, Allgreen and Chip Eng Seng are six developers with residential projects in Vietnam, said BNP Paribas, and Keppel Land has the largest exposure with about US$7 billion of project value.
Here last Friday traded prices in STI. (Jusy FYI) Play of the week..Kepland shares falter on weak property market, has falling 13ct, or 4.66% this week and off 29.3% this year.

Weakness abound.....will property sector drag STI down to test 2800 soon???
Along with financial, property will serve as double whammy....
Just FYI: No more cheap mortgages as banks raise rates bt 1% to 3.98% amid a slowing property market and uncertain economic outlook. banks are facing "ïncreased credit risks on housing loans" and another news indicated of weak properties sales ahead.
Stalemate over prices leads to lowest auction sales in 10 years on dismay slaes of oni 31 properties were sold (auction off) compare to last year of 108 properties sold for the same period.

The Incredible Shrinking Condo (I m living in HDB flat anyway), as construction cost kept going up, a tiny studio under construction near Farrer Park may well be the smallest private apartment built in S'pore (13units). The units - part of Kent Residence in Kent Road, space size 312 sq ft, the size of half of squash court is target at young single and property investors..anyone interested?. (Just FYI)
Thk to property boom at the high in 1996,Unit build is getting smaller n smaller and price getting higher n higher, today most are built by boutique developers n have under 100 units, selling for $1,000 to $1,600 psf
