******** NEW  PARADIGM ********

Suntec REIT: Suntec Convention in tie up with Resorts World Sentosa

Summary
: Suntec City Convention (SCC) has announced an exclusive partnership with Resorts World Sentosa (RWS).

The two properties will cross-sell each other to “create real business opportunities for both venues”.

For instance, guests and delegates can attend exhibitions and day meetings at SCC before going to RWS for after-hours social functions. The scope of the agreement includes joint sales calls, customized proposals and event concepts.

This is a smart move, in our opinion: SCC can capitalize on the IR hype and also offer a competitive counterpoint to the MICE facilities offered by Marina Bay Sands. SCC is held by private real estate fund, ARA Harmony Fund. Suntec REIT has a 20% stake in this fund. In an interview with the Business Times on 02 Mar, the CEO of Suntec’s manager, ARA Asset Management [NOT RATED], re-iterated that Suntec could potentially acquire all of SCC in “two or three years” time if the asset can be re-positioned to earn a greater proportion of stable income. We maintain our BUY rating on Suntec REIT with an S$1.44 fair value estimate.

As for Genting Singapore, the parent company of RWS, we believe that the collaboration will allow it to effectively increase its convention and exhibition capabilities.

We also have a BUY on Genting with a S$1.04 fair value estimate. As discussed in the sector report out today, Suntec is now one of our two top picks for the S-REIT sector. (Meenal Kumar)

US economy will still perform strongly for 30 to 50 years despite the credit problems experienced. This is how MM feels.  Did you hear him on TV last night?

This I read as a hint supporting a buy call for stocks now.

Our dear MM last May/June (2007) "hinted" to let go of our stocks and the market really fell until now to near worthless for all shares.  He talked about housing/property problem then as he did in 1984 and 1984 was when people who didn't listen went bust.  Same as May/June 2007. See how people who didn't catched it lost almost everything or at least have their fortune brought down by 90 percent mostly.

So I am going to do some buying for some coffee money as I want to listen to the thoughts of a wise man. Will you?

yea derrick, same here. i bet if we were to compile a list of analysts' reports and targets, we'd most likely find that 90% of them are wrong and they'd be out of jobs.

an illuminating article you'd be hardpressed to find elsewhere amidst all the talk about 'fundamentals' and whatnots. http://www.forexfactory.com/news.php?do=news&id=105619

follow the flow of money, not the talk.

case in point: anyone remembers when, just a month or less ago, freddie and fannie said they were "adequately capitalised"? and three months back, all the Wall Street men from Citi, Goldman, MS etc, all came out with that marvellous phrase of "the worst is over"?

haha.

I agree, analyst should write upper and lower price range limits within an investment time horizon to his/her forecast about any stock counters. Simple reason, in common practices, every trading day, stock price is not absolutely up nor down, so we need the above price range limits to justify our entering and exiting timing to trade/invest our individual stock counter!

Why always only recommend price UP not DOWN ?? instead they should recommend what's bottom price for the next 6 - 12 months !! In Bear must set target price at DOWN and in Bull only can recommend UP !!

if it's longterm, i'd advise either to buy selectively and over a period of time, alternatively not buying.

must note here that i was kinda laughing to myself when i read the recommendations in today's newspapers.

kinda like, they are the ones playing those counters they recommended. (-_-")....

for the foreigners, currently this holds true: the bigger the losses they're reporting, the more they're shorting Asia. NOL today kena by UBS. NAV of US$1.38, 66% backed by Temasek. Also kena shorted, no dif.

ha ha that young man. sure can talk lah. he is the tableman of the world leading SWF, managing assets over USD 300b. mian kong loh, still got so many powderful family members around him.

of course, he also can advise the angmo not to be xenophobia, as he was the one given a nod to pump in USD 6.88 into Diti Grp in Jan 08, to curb the epidemic's problems then.

yoh, latest, knock into the door of Cockbeng BK, SK, with USD 4b, tumbang with Ajinomoto.

I'm sure a lot of people in this forum have been buying progressively over this period already if for long term. However, anything can happen. Ensure you are able to ride out the volatility.
