POEMS can't trade now

Sometime ago, my frd asking me to trade fx and even go to d trading hse. But I didn't, heng then later he got burnt. May be due to individual, as some making $ leh.

Now, lui less liao. OK will wait for oppr. Tks for d advice. Cheers.

Some broking firms dun hv online trading on foreign stocks, but can call d broker. Dun know how it goes about it esp trading NYSE at nite. May be via their nite desk.

There is set back in online trading on NYSE n HSI, as the stock px display got delay, an hr later. But can compromise with Teletext, 15 mins update one.

As AK posted earlier d pros n cons of having few online broking hse. However, u cannot neglect anyone of them. Take turn to trade on them to maintain d biz relationship loh. Cheers.

Some aspects are obviously primitive by comparison with others... eg those in the US...

 

using poem trading online also and experience the same withdraw pending problem. Most likely their server lag due to heavy traffic.Sametime the screen keep flashing as or hang.

   Buying limit is also another problem. Here an example of the problem:  Let say my buying limit is 20k. After market closed, i decided to buy share A @ price 0.6 for 30 lots on the next day. So i placed my order. Next trading day, my Buying limit is reduced to 2k. Guess what? even if i withdraw my preivous order, i am still left with 2k Buying limit! So the whole trading day i can merely stare at the screen, buying nothing. 18k credit was only refund to me on the next trading day when the share surge!!!    

Anyone having same problem ???

 

AK just quite dun understand, if u q buy at certain px, say 1.00, px filled should be 1.00 or less, can't be more than that. If d stock px exeed 1.00. say 1.01 till trade closed, your q status still 1.00. And if after pre-closed period, thd stock px remains 1.01 then your q status would be Expired.

My 3 broking hse work on that logical principle. Hse accomodative & brokers responsive n helpful. Broker even cough out own money to compensate me when I reported some admin lapse.

Buy a copy of Pulses, monthly stock journal, pub by BT, last page, there are 26 CDP clearing members. 3 local banks are in d list as well. Write down wat u gonna expect fr the broking hse, either email, some with email addr attached, or call them for further details.

Well said, our age is a dog eats dog age.  Thus care of your  trading business should be primary concern.

Hi guys, can we actually refuse to pay the losses on T+3 until they have replied to our emails and given us a reasonable resolution? Any of you have paid up liao?

Tks. Agreed, d prompting on screen is really good. Did u realise, they had stopped d Trade Alert msg send to your email once transaction was filled? Very efficient, they deduct your buy amount on exactly T+4 D on online banking, whereas some other hse are not so efficient, they only deduct it on T+5 D. Cheers.

Most brokerages have their own strengths and weaknesses.  But it seems Poems are disliked by many of the forumers.  They were losing money in a good market, that might be the reason to point out the problems which infact I noticed has been for quite some time already.

The BUY & SELL orders are reflected instantly after a click on the mouse. However, when I use the same machine to trade on POEMS, I could see 'Pending Withdrawal' when I click to cancel my BUY order, but hours later when I check again, it shows that the BUY order has been filled. I end up losing $$$ by buying in at higher price and to make the matter worse, I double BUY.

Sorry brother ssb, u meant u can use your laptop to login POEMS but unable to reach UOBKH, as AK dun understand your statement fully. Kindly enlighten for all to share new things. Regards.

I rarely have encountered problems.
