Worries over potential U.S. action in Syria chilled investor enthusiasm Tuesday and overshadowed optimism surrounding the announcement of two mega-mergers.



All three indexes ended the trading day higher, but pulled back from earlier highs when leaders in the House of Representatives said they would support President Obama's plan for a U.S.-led strike on Syria.

    Ringgit outperforms some SE Asia currencies. Immediate chart resistance seen at 3.2600/dlr for now

    Reuters - Malaysian ringgit hit a 3-week high on Tuesday, outperforming some Southeast Asian currencies, as offshore funds bought it after the government cut fuel subsidies to reduce the country's fiscal deficit. Malaysian govt bond yields slid.

    Late Monday, Malaysia Prime Minister Najib Razak looked to sidestep political opponents and temper market jitters by cutting fuel subsidies to beef up the country's fiscal position, which had spurred capital outflows. The cuts in petrol subsidies, effective from Tuesday, will save the govt an estimated 1.1 billion ringgit ($336 million) this year and another 3.3 billion ringgit in 2014, he said.

    Safety should never be compromise with inferior material for the tanks.....it is the safety and health hazards of the Japanese people in particular and human kind in general that is of paramount importance, as these radioactive waters remains dangerous for many centuries to come......

    The Gulf is Singapore's 5th largest trading partner.

    Gulf Cooperation Council ? Singapore Free Trade Agreement (GSFTA) enters into force last September 1.

    The agreement will further enhance Singapore?s growing economic relations and trade with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), consisting of six countries in the Middle East ? Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

    The GSFTA is a comprehensive free trade agreement covering trade in goods, trade in services, investments, rules of origin, customs procedures, government procurement, electronic commerce and economic cooperation.

    EZION Holdings - just announcement a $62.6 mil contract over four years for a bareboat  chartered  for a refurblished jack up rig. Upgrading and refurblishing work is expected to commence  at the  Middle East yard next week and the rig is scheduled to be delivered by mid 2104.

    Currently Ezion has one service rig near Qatar, 2nd one will come on stream by early next year, will be deployed around that region as well. Ezion has expectation of three additional contracts this year and eight more for next year.

    DBS recommended a buy TP price: $3.20c  - We contniue to like Ezion's strong growth, profile and earnings visibility.

    CHINA'S official Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) strengthened in August, led by new orders, supporting evidence that the world's second largest economy is rebounding after slowing for two straight quarters.

    The PMI is published by the National Bureau of Statistics and the Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, who said yesterday that the official PMI rose to 51.0 in August, up for the second month in a row.

    Gave uncle Chew  time to grow this little bro, not speculating...vested abit oni  to keep my interest going.

    DBS said Ezion TP is $3.20c,. KEtrade said YHM is $0.34c. patience and not shouting about.  Personal prefer YHM over Ezion.

    There's also many  thousand n one in opinionated in opinion n view, please do due own diligence (not a call to buy). Just for info sharing.

    Let us be patient and wait for Uncle Chew to transform this into another Ezion. He has done it for Ezion. This should be easy for him to make YHM big too. 

    Ezion grew from a 10c stock to a $2.27 stock today over a period of 4 years.  $50,000 invested into Ezion 4 years ago is now worth $1.135m.

    Traders better be more conscious in trading this counter. If RTO fails, the price will most likely slash by 50% back to 2 cents. If u want to take this trade, be prepare to bite the bullet.

    Personally, i will not take the risk after SSH sold everything and RTO agreement extended by  one month.

    These 2 " bad" signs had prompt me to keep out of this counter.
