Smiley Nah... dun be overly sensitive, when did I ever say woman can be bully nor made any implications tat u missed the boat, I m just quoting wat I read, "tat many people missed the March rally".

Well, it is a well-known fact tat woman are sensitive, so plse de-sensitise a bit n keep your cool.

I beg to differ, I dun play Mr Gloom nor Mr Doom, I jsut share watever I read n r non-judgemental nor biased in my judgement.

Wat makes u think I m on the wrong side, I need not blow my trumpets n announce in the forum how much I made, I just keep it to myself, be modest n humble, not showy.

There is no need to blow one's trumpet n claim credit nor debase n insult man or TA, nothing is 100% guaranteed, likewise your judgement nor TA, nothing is infallible.

All in all, in a nutshell, be sensitive to others feelings.

Hahaha, wat nature gives us are not balanced, be it eyes or bust or fingers but we can strive to be balanced in our views if we make an effort to.

There is no need to bet whether it is or it is not a sucker rally, wat will be will be, q sera sera, no prize nor award for being right except ego, anyway, ego means nothing in a faceless forum.

i believe those who do TA and FA miss the boat...just look at the TA , at that time, it was real bad...all point down...all doom...saying mrkt will hit even lower....all analyst call their worse...they use TA ...too much..

leading economic data are more accurate to tell the state ofthe economy...

TA are nothing more then data collected of pass trading activity and computed to assume a future trend...this isn't the same as guessing...50/50???..now your turn to throw at me...dont thk woman can be bully...

If it retrace n correct to 2522, it may form a bullish horizontal flag continuation pattern  as most of the emas are still trending up (from 30ema to 200ema, which is the long-term ema).

Hi RichTan, A newbie here and would like your expertise regarding your post on the your post below.

{Aredi broke above the double top formation n above 2700, will probably head towards the fibo retracement level of 61.8% at around 2965, but of course not in one straight line, with corrections in between}

In double top formation, will the retracement level of 61.8% higher or lower than 2700.  I thought that retracement usually means it will go lower first before trending higher.  Maybe I did it the other way round?

Nah... no need to be Mdm Bloom, just let the mkt talk by itself, best to maintain a balanced view, not too biased to one side or the other, as it can equally be doom as well as bloom, there r many things just beyond human mind perception, too many variables tat we may overlook n thus formed a one-sided view.

It may turn out to be a "sucker rally" but also possibly not a "sucker rally"

Mkts tends to have the habits of proving people wrong n springing a surprise just as from March to now when a lot of people missed the boat, doubtful tat the mkt can be in a bull run when all things still look bleak, consoling themselves tat "nah... I dun believe it, this is just a sucker rally, sure to come down" but salivating watching the mkt keep going up n finally throw in the towel n join in the rally later.

Yes, u r right, if it breaks thru 2670, it is a bullish pennant continuation pattern but inverse H&S is more valid for downtrend reversal pattern.

I read from some TA books, including below analyst tat inverse H&S is valid more for in a downtrend reversal:

From:

http://www.thegoldandoilguy.com/articles/how-to-swing-day-trade-and-swing-trade-gld-spot-gold/

Why is gold not in a reverse H & S pattern? Because a reverse H & S pattern is just that, it means the price will reverse from the previous trend. A reverse H & S happens after a downtrend, which forms a bottom and the trend is not moving higher.

Gold has been moving higher, which you can see in 2007 and this large pattern is more like a Cup & Handle pattern – extremely bullish.

From OCBC Investment Research:

Genting Singapore: Proposes 1-for-5 rights issue

Genting Singapore (Genting) has proposed a renounceable 1-for-5 rights
issue at S$0.80 each to raise S$1.63b. According to management, the
issue is undertaken to pro-actively strengthen its balance sheet, enhance
its financial flexibility and competitive position, and facilitate future business
expansion.

Based on the last traded price of S$1.19, the rights discount is
about 33%; it is also at a 29% discount to the theoretical ex-rights price of
S$1.125. In view of the possibility of RWS opening before end 2009 and
also the more upbeat regional economic outlook, we have further refined
our estimates, raising our FY10 revenue by 11.4% and reducing our loss
forecast by 66.7%.

We have also bumped up our fair value from S$0.85 to S$1.05 (S$1.01 adjusted).

But given the limited upside, we maintain our HOLD rating.
