I do not know why NOL document does not have any mention on SRS, it could means they miss out in document or SRS holder is not eligible or entitled!!

Better call your SRS bank or CDP to find out.. Perhaps after that you would like to update here for knowledge purposes.

Thanks for the info Alligator. Will contact my bank ASAP. Would I be able to sell the rights accrued by my NOL shares in the open Market, I wonder? Not that I would, I think NOL is on its way up!!!

There were no mention in NOL's document on SRS holder ( Supplementary Retirement Scheme).

So first thing you must do is to call your SRS account operator ( one the the banks that has your SRS account) and ask for the procedure.

I think it is the same as CPFOA procedure where agent bank must be informed to accept rights on your behalf.

Below is copy from CCT rights , one portions related to SRS for reference reading ONLY.

(B) Use of SRS Funds
Unitholders with SRS accounts must use, subject to applicable SRS rules and regulations, monies standing to the credit of their respective SRS accounts to pay for the acceptance of their provisional allotments of Rights Units and (if applicable) application for Excess Rights Units.
Such Unitholders who wish to accept their provisional allotments of Rights Units and (if applicable) apply for Excess Rights Units using SRS monies, must instruct the relevant banks in which they hold their SRS accounts to accept their provisional allotments of Rights Units and (if applicable) apply for Excess Rights Units on their behalf in accordance with this Offer Information Statement. Such Unitholders who have insufficient funds in their SRS accounts may, subject to the SRS contribution cap, deposit cash into their SRS accounts with thoir approved banks to enable them to subscribe for their provisional allotments of Rights Units and (If applicable) apply for Excess Rights Units. SRS monies may not, however, be used for the purchase of the provisional allotments of Rights Units directly from the market.

Could anyone help me regarding NOL Rights Issue. I bought NOL using SRS. Do I need to use SRS to pay for converting rights to shares? If so what is the procedure? Thanks in advance.

hi aircraft,

in their documents from sgx website, i read that the warrant had 2-year expiry. commencement date cannot be known, they need to get through the procedure of EGM shareholder approval.

i copy here for your reading:::

The Warrants will be issued in registered form and will be listed and traded on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (the “SGX-ST”) Main Board (the “SGX Main Board”) under the book-entry (scripless) settlement system, upon the listing and quotation of the Warrants on the SGX Main Board, subject to, inter alia, there being an adequate spread of holdings of the Warrants to provide for an orderly market in the Warrants. Each Warrant will, subject to the terms and conditions governing the Warrants to be set out in an instrument by way of a deed poll (the “Deed Poll”), entitle its holder to subscribe for one (1) New Share at the Exercise Price at any time during the period commencing on and including the date which is six (6) months from the date of issue of the Warrants and expiring on the date immediately preceding the second (2nd) anniversary of the date of issue of the Warrants.
The Exercise Price and the number of Warrants to be held by each holder of Warrants will be subject to adjustments under certain circumstances in accordance with the Deed Poll. The New Shares to be issued upon the exercise of the Warrants will, upon allotment and issue, rank pari passu in all respects with the then existing Shares, save for any dividends, rights, allotments or other distributions that may be declared or paid, the record date for which falls before the relevant date of exercise of the Warrants.

Hi aircraft,

These are quite common in AGM.

As long as you know what is Employee share options scheme , then these are not much issues to pass during AGM. Shareholder has little control over Company incentive scheme such as Employee Share options, granting of shares, granting of performance shares, and so on.. These schemes are good for employees.

This is just my opinion and experience.

You can use on-line trading account to buy or sell nil-paid rights that are into CASH account (CDP holding)

Do we have to use a brokerage firm to sell the rights?  I assume price of the rights depend on the market price?

Hi Shweli

I saw in my CDP Statement NOL R amount 750. 1) I don't want to hold. I want to sell. If  I sell, I have to pay S$1.3 per share  (NO)

or just sell at merket value (0.200 x 750) and take the money? (YES)

2) What is nil-paid Rights?  You were entitled shareholder to 1000 shares and thus they gave you 750 rights. the ones in your CDP is called nil-paid rights as you have not paid yet.

You can sell your rights in the market, before 2 July, or pay 1.3 before 8 July and they will issue you 750 new shares.

High risk, high return, just need to do whatever we can to avoid stepping into the mine field.

Some old S-Chip posts had BT's report that listed down those companies that are querried by SGX, some are questioned by Auditors. I think the reports is still relevant and can serve as a checklist before we put our hard earned money into selected stocks

Hyflux Ltd (“Hyflux”) is pleased to announce that it has today entered into a Memorandum of Agreement
(“MoA”) with the General Desalination Company (“GDC”), the commercial arm of the Ministry of
Utilities of the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.
Pursuant to the terms of the MoA, Hyflux and GDC undertake to each other to conclude negotiations and
reach agreement for the establishment of a number of joint venture companies (“JVCOs”) to develop two
seawater desalination plants (“Plants”) as follows:

of Tripoli; and
2. One seawater desalination plant with a minimum designed capacity of 400,000 m3/day in

Similar to the seawater desalination plants under current construction by Hyflux, the Plants in Libya

would develop the Plants on a design, build, own, operate and transfer basis, Hyflux’s wholly-owned
subsidiaries would undertake the initial engineering, procurement and construction works for the Plants,
and joint venture companies would undertake the operation and maintenance works upon testing and
commissioning of the Plants throughout the concession period.
Hyflux shall provide further details with respect to the GDC partnership in subsequent announcements
upon further developments of a material nature.
The project is not expected to have a positive material impact on the Hyflux Group’s earnings per share
for the financial year ending 31December 2009. None of the Directors or substantial shareholders of the
Company has any interest, direct or indirect, in the above transaction, save for their shareholdings in

Think this one playing catch up with other reits which surge a lot.

This ones will benefit on IR as well as recovery of tourist arrivals

1. Yes.

On comment about price drops, that is market sentiment and force. it can go either ways. Many factors and players collectively make the market.

2. NOL R is counter for nil-paid rights of 1 lot=1000 shares, NOL R750 is nil-paid rights of 1 lot=750 shares.

If you are entitled shareholder, your CDP statement should show this morning on exact quantity of rights you are entitled.

these counters are set up for trading of nil-paid rights from 24 June to 2 July. People who do not wish to pay 1.3 to subscribe the rights can sell their nil-paid rights in the market during this period.

If you want to subscribe your entitled rights, you DO NOT sell, you HOLD them and pay 1.3 each before closing date 8 july.

Hi all,

I'm new to involvement in Rights so I hope to obtain some valuable advice from you veterans.

1. Does the shares obtained via Rights get merged into the Ordinary share pool which I hold now? From what I read so far, it seemed to suggest that as it gets closer to final day of rights subscription, the price will drop towards the rights offer price? Or will the price stay with the trend, effectively benefiting (based on current price) those who subscribe to rights?

2. What is that NOL R and NOL 750 counters? NOL R is rights trading, meaning those that I that subscribe to can only be traded in this counter? What about NOL 750 then?

Sorry for my ignorance.
