Not vested... but I do feel it too... could Singtel  chance  be enhanced  with some higher blessings??? Good luck to those vested.

(For  me, a long time Singtel customer, I'm just asking for continual good Singtel service. Don't cock-up would do. LOL.)

SingTel has very high chance of winning the telco bid.

Ya Starlene. No update from China Fish since last Vesak Day. Guess the management is being prudent in view of current market situations. This is China Fish's strength which I like, and what's more, now cash-rich.

In addition, about 8 months from today, those vested could expect to see > 2% dividend credited into their bank account by end Feb 14 (as China Fish full year results would be out by Nov 13).

Form a base 38.5-39cts hope it can withstand all downward pressure from the new rights shares, and the next step will up again even if takeover not successful-likely the case now..will be cash rich financially and look for other aquisitions

Read in The Sunday Times today that executives described their trips to Myanmar as " Look, listen, learn - and leave" after  seeing first-hand the lack of electricity, terrible roads, eager but very under-educated workforce & over-whelmed government officials in Myanmar.  I feel that Vodafone + China Mobile dropped out of the intense competition might be a good investment decision.

Yet " no pain, no gain" could be true with good luck. As long as you could earn some $$$ from it, YOMA could be one of Your Opportune Myanmar Assets. I'm not vested but wish good luck to those vested.( *^_^*)

If politics were to be involved as well, I would bet KDDI + Sumitomo + Myanmar MICTDC + A1 Construction plus Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel) + KBZ + Myanmar M-Tel to get the 2 licenses. To me, the dark horses are Digicel plus Telenor with their strong bid (the rest seems to be weaker / I have  no visibility in their proposals). Wonder  Myanmar would grant more license(s) in the future to any of the losers? Exciting and tough competition in this high risk &   good potential? business. Interesting mental betting...

Thanks, Atom99. I'm not vested, just for sharing...

The two winning firms will be selected based on a 67% technical score and a 33% financial score. And the two licenses will be awarded with a fairly conventional 15-year term and 10-year renewal.

http://www.cellular-news.com/story/60019.php  , http://cdn2.independent.ie/incoming/article29319322.ece/ALTERNATES/h342/Denis1.jpg

The competition is so keen & even if granted the license, there is no guarantee of success. I think Team Yoma stands a good chance in this competition unless politics  are also  involved (like give 1 license  to Japan team  etc). Good luck to Team Yoma.

Atom99      ( Date: 08-Jun-2013 19:15) Posted:

If the consortium of DIGICEL + SORO'S QUANTUM FUND +YOMA,being awarded one of the telco license. YOMA most likely will be a minority shareholder. Under the T&C set by Myanmar gov., DIGICEL (experience operator)must be the majority shareholder of at least 45% leaving 55% to share among SORO'S and YOMA.(I would guest YOMA take 15%).

I'm not familiar with the capability of Yoma.  Could  Yoma  execute her aggressive/big projects with success?

diff ppl hv diff strategy. Buy on rumour sell on news!

Yoma & Isdn may cont to move up after taking a pause. But u always hv to put a stop-loss plan in case the stock price suddenly comes down drastically.

think u may consider to take a look at xmh or blumont & dukang.quite similar patterns like yoma & Isdn. short term may cont to move up..

sometimes i really cant figure out what people are thinking.. they really like to be fortune tellers, predicting that a company has the potential to be making huge profits when they have not make realised profits which coould take years to come & speculating & " investing" in them, & ignoring those companies that have been making realised profits.. everyone just want to be " pioneer" investors hehe.. sometimes i feel it really doesnt matter in spending time to look at fundamentals deeply, since most people doesnt do it anyway & just following the herd & news.. if they dont think it's fundamentally good, it doesnt matter what u will be thinking.. only 1 thing that is always applicable, buy low sell high, 'cos that's what everyone is thinking lol.. so how high can stocks like isdn & yoma go? we never know how many blind will be following up the blind, with these stocks moving ahead of their current fundamentals..

Not vested... but was very amazed at the fantastic rise of Yoma shares price recently. Guess the market is trying to price it to perfection?

Saw this article: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-06-07/yoma-plans-offices-to-hotels-in-myanmar-for-expansion-ceo-says.html

If Team Yoma is not awarded the Myanmar telecom license, I wonder what price would Yoma shares be then? Hope this won't happen...

And Yoma has raised much $$$ last year. Wonder if Yoma would still have to raise more $$$ in the near term to pursue her ambitious plans in  Myanmar?

Good luck to those vested.

I did not touch REITs for many months already. When their prices were so high, it was a good time to me for them to raise some  $$$ through rights issues etc. Wonder why not many REITs have done it? Just to share my thought.
