Hi SFGuyRuleZ,

Thk Qs, don hav 2go2 this extend, appreciated.

Haha thanks for the invitation but better not otherwise later all my " enemies" and " critics" come here and disturb the peace and happiness of this house. Don't want to turn this nice thread into a " 溏 心 風 暴 之 家 好 月 圓 " forum..

I used to actually hold negative views about day traders or punters but after having stayed in SJ for some time, my perceptions have changed. I realize not everyone has to follow my philosophy of investing. Even traders and punters, or even shortists (even though I still dislike them since they are in a position against mine) have significant roles to play in the stock market. Ultimately, it has got to do with the underlying intention of why one do something that determines what's good or bad. Trading or " gambling" in stocks can be a healthy interest and hobby and even fun as long as one is not too obsessed in it. As long as treated like just a leisure activity and not place too heavy emphasis on it, it can be an engaging and enjoyable activity.

I benefited from your " Great Wall of China" and market depth theory. Would also like to take the opportunity to thank sifu teeth53 as I also benefited from his IPO analysis and market depth analysis. Lastly, also to Bro KelvinLim123 (if he happens to be reading), even though sometimes his words are rude and unkind, what he said about cutting loss and " trend is your friend" is actually correct, especially for short-term trading and punting. Failed to see from his point of view that time as a short-term trader or investor for certain stocks.

All the rules and regulations in this club are therefore very correct especially when the time horizon is short. Unless one is really very sure about the growth prospects and future value of a company (that does not pay dividends yet), investing long term can be a " scary" affair and need lots of patience. Anyway wish everyone HUAT!! Have a great Sunday and I shall be off to bed now.. =)

Bro SF, good to see you here! Come join us and have some fun. We are all nice bros & sis. Don't chat stocks also can chat others. You are right cannot be too  loud. What I feel is that for liquid stocks with thousands of buy/sell queue lots should have no effect. For low volumn and price spread counters really got effect. I tried not to post this kind of counters nowadays if possible.  Anyway, I will take note of it. Kum sia bro!

http://www.theinternational.org/articles/454-mexicos-nutrition-transition-makes-it-th

Making matters worse - American fast food industry continues to widen its reach across Latin America in the new millennium.

London, Tim Lobstein - The policy and programs at Int'l Association for the Study of Obesity believes fairly recent influx of fast food in the region to be similar to introduction of smallpox and measles by European conquistadors 300 years ago. To evidence this, the average man in Mexico has gained 15 pounds while average woman has gained 19 pounds since the introduction of the first U.S. fast-food chain in 1985. Similarly, in Chile, men have gained an average of 14 pounds, while women have gained more than 18 pounds since 1989. Even more, the rates of death from cardiovascular diseases in Mexico and Brazil surpassed those in the U.S. in 2008, while Chile trails close behind, as reported by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Most affected by Mexico?s ?nutritional shift? are the poor. According to Mexico?s National Nutrition Institute, ?In the poor classes we have obese parents and malnourished children. The worst thing is the children are becoming programmed for obesity. It?s a very serious epidemic.?

teeth53      ( Date: 17-Aug-2013 19:47) Posted:

http://www.theinternational.org/articles/454-mexicos-nutrition-transition-makes-it-th

According to the U.N. Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), 32.8% of Mexican citizens are considered obese, claiming the title over the U.S. with 31.8%. Meanwhile, Mexico has experienced a three-fold increase in rates of obesity and overweight among children since 1980, leaving 70% of today?s adult population overweight.

Plight of city migrants - From year 1965 to 2000, urban population of Mexico grew by 36%, with a predicted 82% by the year 2030.

On this point the FAO report contends: ?The most immediate cause of overweight and obesity is overconsumption of energy relative to physical requirements, yet nutritionists have long recognized that this does not explain why some people consume more than they need.?

Speaking with the United Kingdom?s Daily Mail, Mexican resident of 20 years, Sally Neiman, says, '[Today] people go for more energy-intense foods. These are often high in sugar or fat. People drink Coca Cola as if it was water in order to have the energy to carry on ? and so many of the foods are rich in carbs, are full of cheese or are fried.'

Coca-Cola for water...????.

Beside UOB and or UOB Kayhian. Prime Partner is also the premier source for IPO's and U can ask ur rich frens to offer a good packages.

satans      ( Date: 17-Aug-2013 13:14) Posted:

u are rite.... thats why luckily, my good rich frens now considering boutique IPO listers... maybe credit suisse or others oso not bad...

think soilbuild, 3 big banks, ie dbs, ocbc, citi ALL going down the drain in historical moments.... their iPO biz sure going down the drain... who the overall mgr? think that person should be fired.... wahaaaaaaaaaa so lousy. lucky me never applied for the IPOs.

Their reputations at stake starting next week...... think i will advise my frens to go " uob" or credit suisse or somethings...... sure huat big big.... avoid above 3 banks at all costs for ipos.... wahaaaaaaaaaaaa

teeth53      ( Date: 17-Aug-2013 13:03) Posted:

One does not able to influence mkt IPO-ing. It can take lot others then those three big local bank, even boutique IPO specialist can do a good IPO-ing good job. There's plenty example available n proven in SGX-ST. Main board n in Catalist board.

Different $tock, different winning $treak, totally different stories, different environment and absolutely in total different timing...

Do oneself a flavour, do homework n due diligence, one whom may have the most familiar technic n best decide by how mkt players played - is very personal.

Pahlawan from...?. said hoot, then U hav to read their hot story and ask ur-self worth to taking  those bet or not  after analysis own due diligence. There are also as many BBs supporting this IPO-ing.

http://yieldstocks.reitdata.com/category/miif/  (Happi reading)

Mainly transfering their  asset  for this ipo-ing (to collect back what they has vested..??), it parent Co just more or less an  empty shell.

A brief comparism betweuoben Soilbuild Construction n Soilbuild reit..

Soilbuild Construction is managed by UOB as issue mgr n joint under is UOB n OCBC bank, while

Soilbuild  REIT is manage by Citigroup Inc., DBS Group Holdings Ltd. (DBS) and OCBC.

teeth53 thot - leaving out UOB may leaving some players out and it first day trading rresponse  went under water.

It's also  due to bad  mkt in Asian bourses trading in RED,  following  Dow droping more then 200 points.

Mkt is timing is important whereby IPO mgr cannot determine.

There by those trading can end , end of the day, especially can end up with five (5) digital figures.
Note - retail players do not get to deal in such multiple order.

By the way. They can buy sell or sell n buy back in multi order on a single day, from one lot to several hundred of lots, even in thousand of lots (one lot = one thousand share)
