How can the Co have the pte placement at such price of 0.25 especially the placement announcement is after the announcement of the proposed listing of it's subsidiary?

The Board wishes to highlight that the Proposed Listing is in its preparatory stages. There is no assurance that the relevant approvals and/or consents from, inter alia, the SEHK, to be obtained in respect of and in connection with the Proposed Listing will be granted, or that the Proposed Listing will proceed in due course. The Company will announce any material updates when appropriate and a circular containing, inter alia, the notice of EGM will be dispatched to shareholders in due course.

Tritech Group proposed placement of 75m new shares to 9 individuals and 1 institution at an issue price of $0.25 per share, 6% discount to last close of $0.265. Placement shares represent 24.5% of existing share capital. Net proceeds of $18.2m will be used to fund potential acquisitions in connection to its water-related business and working capital. Some familiar names among the placees with the recent placement done by Mirach and CNA Group.

In our institutional research report dated 16 Jul 13, we maintained our HOLD recommendation for SPH with an unchanged target price of S$4.25 which is set at a 10% discount to our SOTP valuation of S$4.73/share. 

  We raise our FY13-15 core net profit forecasts marginally by 4% as 3QFY13 core net profit of S$100.5m was above our forecast of S$90m. 3QFY13 saw a large fair-value gain of S$111.4m, offset by an impairment of S$26.2m. Advertising revenue recovered to a smaller contraction of 5.1% in 3QFY13 vs a 9.3% contraction in 2QFY13

Suggested entry price at $ 4.00 or below.Technically, SPH could be testing S$4.08/3.99 should the stock continue to trend down. Prices have formed lower highs and lower lows at the moment.

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding?s (YZJ) 2Q13 revenue was Rmb4.42b (+12% yoy), of which shipbuilding revenue was Rmb4.0b (+12% yoy). Overall

gross margin (including investment business) slid to 27.4% from 2Q12?s 30.5%, of which shipbuilding margin was still stable at a relatively healthy

21% (2Q12: 24%). Net income was Rm811.7m (-8% yoy), including interest income of Rmb383m generated from financial products, cash and

Runyuan micro financing (1Q13: Rmb394m, 2Q12: Rmb331m).

YZJ remains our only BUY within the Chinese shipyard sector and we lift target price from S$1.22 to S$1.32, based on 1.3x 2014F P/B. We expect a mid-cycle valuation is applicable to YZJ. Current valuation at 0.9x 2014F

P/B is still within the trough range and looks very attractive.

Wouldn't die totally!

Oceanus' 2 main business segments are aquaculture production and abalone processing and distribution. It also operates the Ah Yat chain of restaurants. with outlets in China, HK, Taiwan & S'pore.

Oceanus was notified on 2 Aug and again on 5 Aug of " substantial and abnormal" death of abalones at its China farms within a very short span of time.

The  statement did not link the reports of abalone deaths with Mr Wu's departure except to say they had happened at around the same time. The deaths started the day after the AGM when Mr Wu lost his Board seat.

The Board is carrying out all necessary investigations to look into the situation.
