Candle definitely did not do his or her homework. Plife's dividend is from 23-08-07 to 31-12-07. It's about 4.25 months for 22.7 not half a year. We divide 22.7 by 4.25, we get about 5.34 each month and times 5.34 with 12 months, the final comes to 64.09. Therefore the dividend yield for 1.18 is around 5.43%. |

As you mention ParkWayLife compare with First Reits ParkWayLife IPO only last year => half a year data Current Price $1.18, half year dividents 0.0227SGD less Tax Half year you will receive $0.0186 after tax, Assume the next half you will receive the same, then you will receive $0.0372 for $1.18 invest = 3.15% yield First Reits IPO in Dec 2006 => one year data Jan08 Divident 0.001SGD less Tax + 0.0147SGD Tax Exempt + 0.0019SGD 4th quarter = you receive $0.0174 after tax Oct07 Divident 0.0143 TAX Exempt + 0.0019SGD+ 0.001SGD Less Tax 3rd quarter = you receive $0.0170 after tax Jul 07 Divident 0.0004SGD Less Tax + 0.0019 SGD + 0.0142SGD Tax Exempt 2nd quarter = you receive $0.0164 after tax May 07 Divident 0.0196SGD Tax Exempt 1st quarter you receive the whole sum of $0.0196 Total divident for 1 year = 0.0196+0.0164+ 0.0170+0.0174 = 0.0704 You receive$0.07 for $0.74 you invest => the divident is 9.4% Which is 3 times more than Parkwaylife. Have use my CPF since end of last year for this Reits. |

Market slump is a global issue, US is the main player. As far as US kena stuck and likelyhood falls into recession, Everybody kena sucked. Analyst recommended Capital Land, Capitalmall Trust and Suntec Reit before the market declined the last few days. Its a good buy once the market reaches its bottom. Hold the horse first. Cheers. |

Today FirstReit announce their financial and earlier AscendasReit all reported better earnings for last quarter 2007. Does that mean Spore economy not as bad as it seems? Currently most REIT and business trust are dropping like flies. Anyone comments? |

Hi everybody, Am new to this forum, but have been reading-up the posts here. Great forum. I am thinking of topping up this counter for this year-end. I have read the 3 posts in this forum about this counter, and to me, this counter seems good if we are talking about longterm and as a means of earning a regular income, ie in the form of quarterly divvy.
