The reason why few lots were thrown out at 0.035 was that because its more expensive to carry over your shorting margin over the weekend when it is further away from the price u shorted Hence despite the expensive brokerage fees.The shortist obviously felt it was worth it to spend some brokerage fees to reduce his large carrying costs over the weekend.
