Congrats Knightrider and those who made money. I also have no luck in the IPO. I bought at 82.5 cents and contra at 85 cents. Made some kopi money from it. |

Hi YongJiu, As I am not so good in interpret the report in NetReearch online reports, it has 2 long pages to scroll down and it cannot be captured. They stated Short term holding = Yes, Long term holding = none. Thus, is this imply that this is a good stock to subscribe as compare to China Bearing. So the 1st day trading fair price is from 0.75 - 0.78 right ? Thks. |

Hi knightrider, see what Netresearch said, of course they didn't mention short term holding issue =) Sino Techfibre May Jump From IPO Price 0320 GMT [Dow Jones] IPO WATCH: China-based Sino Techfibre (SNTH.ZZ), which lists in Singapore on Friday, could have "significant upside" from 56.5 Singapore cents issue price, according to netresearch Asia. Company seeking to raise up to S$113 million from its IPO to enhance its production capabilities. Netresearch Asia suggests subscribing to issue, as it has "strong support from pre-IPO investors, which include venture capitalists and investment holding companies," has S$0.78 fair value on stock. Sino Techfibre selling 200 million new shares, of which 5 million will be offered to public with remaining 195 million to be placed out. (JEM) |

Hi, One thing this NetResearch report is Intellectual Properties, thus I cannot copy the text and paste here for all to read. They somehow do not allow anyone to cut and paste. I cannot capture the text but only to read online, this is the fustration ! From what I interpret, their PMP (pattern moulding paper)business is only in full production in year 2007, and the fibre business is easily copy and other competitors like FibreChem (using polyester fibre), China Sky (nlyon fibre) are also well production in full force as compare to this one ! Thus the long term prospect is not so bright unless some funds and institute is supporting. The chances is high for fund managers to take them as the enhance and expand post IPO of market captalisation of S$508.5 million . Hope this is clear to all. Good Luck. |

Hi, Just buy the report from NetResearch, they just reported after lunch ! Advise to subscribe at IPO 0.565c and short term holding not for long term invest. The PE is low and opening trading price estimate to be around 0.75 - 0.78 (fair value). Chances compare to China Bearing, this hit rate of subscribe is higher cause share for public is much more as well ! Happy applying and hope all make profit ! Good Luck. |

In other words IPO stands for Initial Private Offering. So for token sake throw a few small million to the public to qualify for Initial Public Offering? Everyone agrees that the fund managers is a must in any stock market. Say after one year do you get to read the Top 20 Shareholders in the Annual Report- are those funds managers still there? Frankly most are not fund managers but Punt Managers and Fun Managers! The small retail investors must be given a bigger bite at those hot ipos. Again what are the underwriters for? For a hot hot ipo they will not be penalised at all. If more are allocated to the small investors it will attract more small investors back to the market. Right now the daily volume is so high but when you ask your friends, etc they are not in the mkt at all. Again more for public will benefit my broker too! |

W/O the fund mgr coming in.. and those vested big boys, will px hit beyond grey mkt px of $0.14c if retailers will to be in control ??. there is a mechanism where certain amount of fund r needed where by when big monies is concern. It has to go through a tendering system where with fund mgr and big boys does is to apply for that amount of fund. In this case study, like China Bearing with it IPO offer of 61m shares is apply to it, very limited and bound to be over subscribe even by those fund and those vested big boys. Isit very hot stock. |
