Phillip securities never curb trading. I think they are smart. Shoot your own foot by doing silly curbings. You can impose a restriction on a certain weak clients but it is silly to curb your own business when credit worthy clients who are given credit limits cannot trade a certain counter. | ||||

Even my most stable of stocks all cratering. Lucky I stopped buying and holding on margin a few months ago. Otherwise backside burnt..water also cannot extinguish.

I wrote this morn that their revenue collection is 100%, with 95% on time as per contract. Wow, municipal govt such good paymaster. Looks they are eyeing large projects. 1Q will show how good JT's contribution to the bottom line (since they so proud of it!), apart from increased water tariff's contribution. HK may be eyeing placement to fund managers or high net worth individuals like SIIC. See when they lop their cannon balls. 1Q will set basis for analysts' rating. | ||||

Hahaha nvrmind I had liao at the lounge...some positive words used by them like high growth and significant revenue keeps coming up a few times..quite excited..all their phase 2 projects will be completed by 3rd qtr 2014 with 2 of them this yr. they mentioned that lower investment is needed to complete phase2 compared to phase 1 and higher revenue for projects can be realized in the phase 2 projects.
Water tariff in China is still the lowest and the trend is only up n up. So with every increase the pockets will only swell. |

Attended the Agm ..
Before Agm went toilet coz Agm was gonna be for a while..met Paul there haha...luckily he washed hands Liao so we shook hands and talked a while in the toilet. Funny talking business in the toilet. Realizing we talked for awhile we headed out to the function room coz no time Liao..never eat the muffins and lim kopi. The Agm started with Philip Yau sharing highlights of the financial report and key milestones. Guess everyone was happy coz they clapped after the preso. Next there were clarification questions asked abt the financial report ...followed by questions on funding, dividends, growth, issuance of rights and placements. Me introduced myself as leeeta so as fellow forumers will know and later can catch up to chit chat but don't think anyone from forum came except myself. Me asked abt measures they have in safeguarding their business interest and growth in China with the move of their Hq to Singapore. Also asked abt business reasons for this decision apart from seeking funding. So in point forms here if u all don't mind... - they are very positive on growth and on their strategy. First time they are bright and cheerful in the Agm...and can tell fellow shareholders are as well. - shareholders still comment on no dividend policy and lamented that even a little will form a positive opinion of the company. Now they are still bounded by this MTN but Paul said hopefully this will change very soon. - some shareholders are now keen on rights provided there is dividend seeing positive development in the company. Some are still not. - David and Philip commented that the acquisition of JT is significant to their strategy and a right one. Results are showing. - David stated that the competition is now tense with many smaller companies keen on small projects..but HK is not keen to compete in small projects normally under 50m/ton.. Industry now very fragmented and a lot of opportunity to scout for good acquisitions to add to their portfolio. - wrt their move to Singapore..they wish to be closer to where the dollars and shareholders are. Some shareholders joked that it is good coz if they screw up, they will know how to find David. David mentioned that they already have a strategy to grow business even tho they will be based here. SOPs will be there to ensure business continues to grow in China. Projects will continue to be there for a few years. They are more concerned about funding coz if there are no funding there will be no projects but HK now stands in good stead...and the management wants to capitalize do that. -Agm and SGM resolutions all passed. - as usual management team is tight lipped on what is coming on next but most shareholders I talked to have the same opinion that they have something planned wrt to the capital enlargement. The management team commented that it is a tool they will use when the need arises but will still seek shareholders approval as usual. - those shareholders who kpkb last year is more subdued this year as I think they can now see there is now a ray of light shining brightly and a new dawn with exciting prospects for HK.
