tanglinboy.. yah the plane itself is just a huge bird in the sky...and there is only one, for the moment. ![]() It's potential lies in long haul and being very very fuel efficient.. it can be deployed for cross pacific the day when Australia opens their sky.. ie Sin- Australia-USA lucrative route.. and Sin-London-USA when SIA decides to buy a landing lot in Heathrow... Besides, think SIA did a good job wielding its power over Airbus to be the first in the world to get a A380 delivery... Many other rich airlines esp those in the middleeast countries can easily throw $$ to get this privilge but it was given to SIA so guess the fuss is the prestige that comes with first to fly (typical singaporean mentality to want to be first) |

SIA up the ante yet again for luxurious travel. This is ultimate comfort in the sky... unbelievable.. well not that I can afford.. think it bodes well with the affluents... and SIA's bottomline when more of these jumbo jets are in service down the road... I have once heard that airlines need only a few 1st class passengers to make the flight worth it... not sure if it is true? Singapore Airlines Suites
