Thanks OngHuiH, Must really go for the lessons to understand the intricacies of trading. Sometimes catch no ball...Eg, the Nikkei fell by 300 over points and I expected the S'pore market to be hit real hard but today it rebounded. ??? don't understand at all. |

So, manage according to one's risk appetite. Maybe keep 10 lots and unload the rest by end Nov/early Dec 06? Note: if Genting don't win, 10 lots means more than a thousand loss ........ If Genting wins, 10 lots means u almost double your investment. A game of chance. |

Colorado hi, am still holding SPH. Refer to the threat on SPH at 4.04 i think, i said buy. This is a big cap stock. I also have 1.50 and below stock. So, it doesn't matter big or small. Critical points recap here: #1. Buy on uptrend. Sell on downtrend (me exit between 3-5 bids). In this way, losses is always capped. Better to loss a tiny finger than a whole hand; better to loss a hand than a whole arm, better to loss a hand than a whole body concept. #2. Never believe what the analysts said. There are bunch of "xxxx" (truely out there). For eg, today, 17 Nov 06, a stock was downgraded when only just last month they recommend "buy" - said the Co is on track to make money. Result out - Co loss money. And mind you, I need to pay for the report! And this group recommend a few top picks. Guss what? ........ if you do the reverse, you make money. #3. Stick to few simple charts: MA, Sochastic, MACD, and RSI. If you can master this, the chance of making money 7/10 is there. #4. Money is MADE when you exit - NOT when you buy -- remember this. Loss is capped too. So be discipline in cutting losses. #5. Let profit run, but know when to sell. CAO is an example. I let go at 1.05 when the highest is 1.06. U never know how fast the price can turn against you. Today is struggling at 1 - 1.01 again.! Juz these few points. No great theory. And you are only the way financial freedom. |

Hi OngHuiH, thank you for the story of the drunken driver. Yes, I forgot the golden rule - cut loss and swallow my pride. Now I'm saddled with this donkey that doesn't move! I've logged into the Terraseeds to check and indeed there is a class in Dec. Anybody keen to go so we can get the 10% discount if 2 sign up? Story of the Drunken Driver - this is the story told to me by a client of mine - he easily make 7-8K a month from sharing trading. And I take this story to heart. He said if one enter into a trade without a SYSTEM, bound to loss money like a drunken driver bounced to get into accident. In the process, you endanger your own money and aslo those who depends on you - your family etc. iPunter, if you continue to loss money - no offence, be sober. Go, learn a trading system.
