The earliest hearing, if i'm not wrong when i read it some time back, will be around October. Btw, today i read the business times newspapers, showed that the PE ratio is 8.7, which is very undervalued at the moment. Worth the buy if it hovers between 55 - 58 cents. |

Perhaps Mr Gaines-cooper is waiting for the next few weeks to see if the courts have reached a verdict on 1)ambu's appeal against the copyright infringement and 2) amount of damages to award before taking action? Similarly, the longer term BB investors might be waiting for the verdict too although it will be in the favor of LMA. I'm still holding on to my 25lots and thinking if i should pump in somemore. Now $ a bit tight :(... maybe wait and see first. |

hikitty, I feel sorry to hear that again.. If not mistaken, this price is approaching bottom again, and you already said the same thing as today... oh well, maybe they need some news or really good results to rebound... just wonder how much you put in this counter before? well, at least your staircruise paid you off, if you sell at 0.56, before it hit to 0.36 again... i just know you are die hard fans for LMA and starcruise, heee.. try to love other counters too, there are plenty of lovely counters out there for you to choose. |

Why must LMA remain a "super" laggard, below its IPO price? It's profitable. With such a low daily volume, it has not received the attention of FMs. . The Management has evidently not activated any share buy back. In a down market, no buy back action, in an up market, no buy back action. When will it take action? After all its investors have gone to Heaven? Clearly the Mgt is NATO (No Action, Talk Only) |

ok, I'm reading from the 1H2007 financial results, page 3. Says Cash and Cash equivalent for end of the period 6months ended 2007 as 31.8 million. Please correct me if I'm wrong as I'm not an expert in reading statements yet. |

Any idea whether LMA has the cash hoard to buy up to a maximum of 58million shares. If it is activated, it shd drive the price north to its IPO price? |

hmmm.. doesn't seem to be activated yet. But the effect can be quite powerful, cause regulations state they can buy back up to 10% pf the shares from the public. 10% of LMA'S 580million shares would be maximum of 58million! |

Hope the mgt stage a buyback during the present downtrend to benefit their faithful shareholders who have stuck with them even though the shares have remained below IPO price after being listed in 2005 (wow - almost two years later). Worth picking up for their strong fundamentals. |

Hikitty, the shortsellers may be slightly more conservative now as LMA seems to be able to hold its ground during this meltdown and with their shortsell activities. Good news isn't it? :) since with market sentiments down and shortsellers coming in, the price still did not budge. Ironically, LMA seems to be my worst performing stock when the STI was at its peak, and now seems to be my best performing stock when market is down. |

The uptrend must be due to "intelligent" guys who tried to short sell. Are those short sellers so merciless to try and batter LMA to "0" or what? Doubt any court award will push LMA north coz' mkt is downtrending. Hope LMA can continue to hold at its present levels provided retail investors don't dump them like hot potatoes! |

Now i can see the beauty of LMA. Although it has been flat for months while the market was soaring from STI 3000 TO 3600, it has not dropped drastically during this period of market meltdown. To fans of LMA, this fundamentally strong stock is resilient even during this stock market Chernobyl! |

Some encouraging news. LMA EGM just passed the share buyback mandate. This mandate will last, if i'm not wrong, until the next AGM. Hopefully the management will execute the buyback scheme soon |

Hikitty, there will an EGM today 13Aug to renew the share mandate. The meeting will be evening singapore time as the EGM will be in the Antilles, Netherlands. I believe once they have renewed the mandate and actually executive this share buyback scheme, the BBs might follow suit and this would drive the price up. Can't tell when the price will soar, but i strongly feel the longest we have to wait is when the courts awards damages to LMA from Ambu, then it will jump. I'm holding to my 20 lots @62cents since early this year, would have bought more now but made a mistake in buying some speculative stocks so cash flow will be tight for a few mths. I also believe that the impact of a court ruling in damages favoring LMA will not just be in $ terms, but it means that Ambu would also have to stop selling products (most prob they have stopped already) that have eaten into LMA's market. LMA would then be able to recapture Ambu's share that was affected by the patent infringement? (i think). In volatile times like this with the sub-prime saga, buying fundamentally strong stock will not be a mistake and I would sleep better knowing that my stock is backed by strong fundamentals. At least it will not go bust or plunge to a few cents! |

Hi Tradechancellor Any suggestion when LMA will rebound. In the current market, profit report does not seem to boose the "sagging" price. When market was shooitng up like a supersonic jet, LMA was all the time below their IPO price. |

hikitty, in my opinion, after looking at the 2H 07 results and the analysis by standard and poor, this stock seems to be extremely undervalued. Based on S&P analysis, the ratios that are extremely poisitive and above average for 2006 results are high ROE 36%, low PE ratio 10.1, reported earnings per share a good 3.9cents, high net margin of 24.9%! All indicating an attractive buy due to undervalue! Although the price to book 2006 is a bit high at 3.1, but if you take a ROE/Price book ratio, its ratio is 11.8, not too bad. I would agree to standard and P latest analysis yesterday that they have UPGRADED the fair value of the share from 70cents to 75cents. Even qualitatively, although the top 20 shareholders in 2006 hold a total of almost 507million shares and others 73million to make up the 580million total share price, with the share mandate being renewed again soon, these 73million will be reduced and concentrated within the top 20 holders. Thats means less than 73million will soon be floating around small investors and perhaps less speculative? With the Ambu compensation because of copyright infringement due to be in the court around october, this would be very positive to LMA too. |

Unfortunately LMA lacks the support of BBS and funds. Though profitable, it has languished BELOW IPO price for most of the time years since being listed in 2005. Can any learned soul surmise when it will turn around, based on TA and FA? |
