Ya... that's true... nothing beats the specially trained human hands, but much labour is required. Machines have their goodness too... In the modern world, machines are increasingly replacing humans... in more and more areas.. |

I have always found that a massage chair or any other so-called health machine is nothing compared to a real massage given by professionals. |

No.. the astronauts train in centrifuges, I think, but this machine I'm referring to is more for personal use... I just found out it is also called a "Chi Machine" .. just gooog for that and you'll see a webpage listing the many models of it... While you lie down, the machine swings your lower body laterally and improves overall chi circulation. I bought one at an Aibee Store few years back but had not used it regularly. If you buy it, make sure you buy a haeavy-duty one, as the flimsy ones are quite useless. |

hahaha... Cowboy hat, 1.5" soft foam mattress, nails bed... I'll try 'em all... should be great fun... Bythe way has anyone tried a machine called the "swing"?.. It's something that makes your whole legs and lower body swing left and right (sideways) when you lie down on your back and place both legs on this machine at the feet.... :) It's not made by Osim. |

iPunter, I have a suggestion to toning up ... try sleeping on a 1.5" foam mattress on the floor for a couple of months and see the results (I've been doing this for 5 years). A hard floor makes a hard man. The aches are bad at first but then you get used to it and build higher tolerance for pain. Your muscles sure to get toned up. All the toys Osim, OTO, Aibi etc sell cannot measure up to this simple idea. |

Eastonbay... Thanks for the tips... me too... can't get up too early for the horses. I was thinking of a simple solution to tone up the waist and overall joints, sense of balance, etc with the iGallop. I can imagine the beneficial effects of just doing 3 months on the iGallop.. |

No machine can replace the actual riding experience on real horse. Actually riding lesson isn't all that expensive, it's a misconception. And the gears required is nothing as compared to Golf clubs (price wise). However, if you are interested in horse-riding in Spore, you would have to be an early riser because Sgp is simply too hot for the horses. Lessons are conducted in early morning like 6am. Too Early for a lazy bone like me! Osim itself has too many direct competitors (mostly copycat) in Singapore and Asia. However, the US biz Bridgestone which OSIM acquired sells very interesting items/gadgets. Not sure how much does Bridgestone contributes to OSIM's bottomline. Not interested in this counter and not vested. |

hi dynamitebull... :) You are very right... and it's so sad... The company concerned obviously have great faith in this serious product to want to promote it widely, but unfortunately, good intentions are one thing... the market just isn't ready for the goodies, or rather, the environment does not suit the product, no matter how valuable it is. In view of the real excellence of the product, I suppose it would be necessary for some creative solution. Possibly one the ways would be to work on solutions to educate the general public on the benefits of horse-riding, for example. And then maybe those in the medical profession can be enlisted to widely promote the therapeutic goodness of horse-riding. Or perhaps the education professionals can help to promote it's availabilty in school gyms, etc. Or even a mail order campaign. Just somthing to mull over. |

iGallop? reminds me of this time in IMM when Osim had 6 or 8 iGallops on display; guess who was testing them out? kids, all kids...having the fun of their life. no adult in his/her right mind would go near iGallop. that's one big reason i m staying out of Osim stock. |
