Hi Elf, Got out of market last Friday except for reits. Parking there in reits for the steady divvy. Vested in Cityspring at $1.45 , 21 lots. Think will park there as well for the long term. Meanwhile, trying to get tix to Vancouver, but June hols , have problem for the dates I want. Sigh. |

Chinkiasu, It's fine about the mix-up. Thanks for your tulips. But really, for a while, thot I have the early signs of dementia. Phew! I enjoyed the backpacking way to travel. Staying in youth hostel makes you feel younger too. Greece is very different. The Acropolis is simply great. And the Minoan civilisation on Crete as well. Midnight sun makes me lose touch with reality and time, and with the serenity, lakes, plus reindeers, simply heaven..... |

uncle kiasu, u have committed the worst 'sin' when it comes to ladies - to mistake one for another :) that's a big boo-boo u know... and it seems like u been trekking much. i only been to the nepal ABC trail. any mountain trekking, i think i will skip :p sometime this year, me will need to be in europe for meeting, so will take the opportunity to go over to london and belgium. yah, i know that's kinda weird coz these 2 countries are like, up and down, but no choice lah. have you or fairygal been to belgium? i haven't been there, so dunno what to do. i was bored to shit when i was in sweden, so if it's gonna be like sweden, then i may skip it. godpa, sorry i wasn't able to come in y'day, was in meetings. hope you managed to get some counters that were looking good coz of the dip y'day. coz me practise run in and out, i usually only look at a few cents profit and then run away. y'day bought Ausg and Celestial. i will consider picking up Ausg if i wish to make more, but will definitely be letting go Celes once my contra days are up. i can be wrong, like in Hiap Hoe (which kind victorian had advised me on this counter). i always set a exit price, so once it reach that, if i still have the luxury of time, i will wait for a day or 2 to see if it will go up more. if it doesn't, i will sell it off at my exit price or near it. elf, in an another posting, you asked about timeline for contra. i dunno leh, mine is total 7 days, pay up or sell off by 7th day. is this the norm? oh, me happy with one godpa. not sure if shplayer also into convent gals, so better not have too many of this kinda godpa u know ;) how about looping Sggal in? Fairygal can be our fairy godma. what u think? kekeke. btw, u sound like convent gal. St Nicks? CHIJ? |

oops, a thousand apologies..*blush*, . flowergal, yes indeed I got you mixed up with fairygal... I meant to welcome fairygal earlier with a tulip (cos I read somewhere that she loves tulips) in my earlier post: but its a blessing as I get to meet you.. hi! best wishes and fairygal .. *blush*,*embarassed*, I had you in mind when I presented the tulips, and I thot you are ignoring me becoz you didnt like "queen of the Night" tulip...(correct me if I am wrong again that you like tulips in a thread about tulip effect). sorry I got your name wrong...However, my post re my admiration of your travels/trekking still stands.. I present to you a red tulip ... . 
btw.. yes I will also go to Pemberton as you have recommended.. and I would in turn again recommend to you to trek Mt Kilimanjaro... and visit (I dont recommend you trek, coz you can be eaten by lions) the Masai Mara.. |

hey chinkiasu, thanks for the warm welcome and the tulip. i think u mistook fairygal and myself coz i have never been to finland. in fact, the farthest i been to is aussieland. sorry i might not be able to reply frequently cos work in the day and study at night. |

hey fairygal, sorry missed your post in exuberance over my pet. hehe. out of market or not: it depends on what stocks you're holding, really. if you have solid FA counters, it's time to put in more. if not, might consider locking in profit. Esp if they've run up since june/oct. the key thing is not to regret, since hindsight is always perfect. but the point is: at this point in time, could you have said for sure that the price will rise/fall? fact is, you can't. and that's the key to trading. Never look back. See what is real, what is in your hand. Feel nothing at all. You call a sell when the profit is enough for you. :) |

Hi bunnie, "me luvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvs backpacking. the budget kind, not the kind that you carry a haversack and walk around chatuchat market and called that backpacking ;-) " u soulnd like u been to many places. can exchange stories? then i would know where to go next time for holidays :)" actually I have also done the backpacking kind many years ago... Mt Kinabalu, the highest mountain in South East Asia.. very climable or rather walk & step up able...depending on your physical condition (some people do it in a day (climathon) they run up and down the mountain..but you got to be really really fit) suggest you do it in three days (or even 4), two days up and one day down. Start base camp ParkHQ (you have to stay they night) at about 5,000ft and then trek up to about 11,000 ft Layang-Layang/Laban Rata where you stay for the night, before you leave forSayat-Sayat Hut about 12,500 feet, around 2 am to go to the top at 13,435ft around 7am to view the magnificent scenery: it is more of steps trail and but you get to see very interesting montane flora, fauna... however, I must recommend Mt Kilimanjaro.. this one is the tallest in Africa & world tallest free standing mountain.. 19,340ft.. again you can walk (5-8 days) to the top.. but you got to be superfit because the air up there is quite thin (mountain sickness is very real unless you pace yourself).. you should again go there before the glacier melts (by the global warming).. I saw it from the air recently and it is already melted down to less than a quarter of the mountain top (from what use to be a completely snow/ice capped cone).. before making the climb you could acclimatise by visiting the Serengati plains / ngorongoro crater /OLDUVAI GORGE(cradle/origin of man) and see the big 5, or the view the great wonder of million wildebeast & zebras on their annual migration and crossing the mara river (from the kenya side in Masai mara (stay at the Governors Camp etc).. my coming trip this autum to see northern xinjiang - the Altai Mountains.. but hey Flower Gal, I am very impressed by your finland backbacking.. I want to see the midnight sun (my Fairbanks trip did not reach the Arctic circle) and I will certainly consider following your trail/trek & this time go back to backpacking again in Finland... (I was in Helsinki once (quite some years ago) in late winterand remember doing some sking (walking) on frozen Baltic sea. And may I present to you, another tulip... ...  the ICE PRINCESS, (which I hope you would like this time, ) as a show of my respect.....

So if it's sold, it's sold. don't regret or look back. currently: don't buy anything yet. Be patient. Let the correction or bull run take place first. In the tail-end of a trending market, the risks are often not worth the reward. elf is watching. hmmm..... why are men always fascinated by bunnie suits ah? or into role playing ah? btw, i forgot to say in my earlier post. godpa, i don't think the dip is anything serious lah. so don't thnk there is a real need to offload in any hurry. in fact, i hope that a more serious correction can be here soon, coz i am jittery, and don't wish to commit too much when the index is so high with only occasional small dips. oops, hope i didn't offend anyone here by wishing for such thing :p fairygal, thanks for the tip. i see if i can include finland in my coming europe backpacking trip :) |

godpa, me no expert in reading TA like sggal and me can't analyse stocks well like elf and shplayer and others. but mkt have dipped since opened, and with CNY and Budget Day this week, it defies the usual marlet expectations that there will be a (mini) rally this week. i had already profit take by Friday from all contra counters because i (chin)kiasu about profits run away if market did not have the rally as expected. but since you buy to keep (into FA), no need to sell off anything lah. if market really goes into correction, then you can always look into buying more at lower price. i different, i play contra, so obviously want to get out even if the profit is only a miserable $100 :) i rather have smaller profits than none at all. in a way, i am also maanging my greed in this aspect :) in fact, today, it looks quite attractive for me to buy in some. buy in today, get out within a day or two ;P |

Helloooo... bunbun, Go Finland. In Helsinki, must go to the youth hostel on Suomenlinna. An island 5-10 minutes from Helsinki. You will love it. Then go North towards North Pole, pass the Arctic Circle to Ivalo, Inari. Lots of lapin (hares/rabbits?) around in the forest hopping around, and staring at you. Fantastic! |
