elf U are rite. However the aussie govt.are very mean to China.they make them sign off that it can be used for energy purposes. However how to monitor i wonder. u will find in aussie reporting, they will give u 2 figures.one is cash flow earnings and another for earnings per share. The cash flow earnings is usually higher and from there they will say declare 70 or 80 percent of cash flow earnings. cheers |

godpa, i meant in the case of writeoff years (exceptional gain) vs years with no writeoffs: if it is based on net profit, to the investor, it would appear as tho divvy drops from the first case to the latter? not sure...i just see via divvy yield for my divvy shares.... china and india buying uranium. that likely means nuclear weapons, in direct contravention of the BWC pact that was signed. o_0 should buy, really, godpa. China and india are looking to build nuclear capability. they'll buy from whatever source they can. |

sorry bunbun I do not punt. i more for long run cos of margin lending. if blue chip shares, margin lending will be 70% of value.if punting shares sometimes no lending margin. but uranium shares are in hot cake as aussie govt.allow to export to China and india, where previously not allowed. So get in quick. that is why in australia, woodside petroluem, equivalent to SPC,gone from A$10 to A$38. So i tot, australia too expensive,go for SPC.But SPC no fight at the moment. cheers |

yepyep da gege, that's why i like macq. appears* to be one of the cleanest mgmt i've seen. i prefer it to be on cash flow anyway, this way you get less yes, but it's stable. since anyway, you don't play macq as a TA trade....like i said, it's a singpost. can wait for march collect 4c dividend liao. (i use appears since you never really trust any BB in the investing world. keke.) |

Shplayer U mean cos of better divvy or better capital gains? now px in ASX very high.Has been having good run for at least last 8 to 10 years, non stop. To add fuel to it all is the resource boom, thanks to China and India. If anybody out there interested to buy uranium share while it is still affordable, go for yellow cake. Funny name but good money ok. |

elf, Yes, but have you noticed that their DPU paid is based on cashflow and not net profit? Hence, whenever they make an acquisition, the will need to leverage or issue more shares....and the part of the DPU is giving back your capital. Just an observation and comment....anyway, I am vested |

hm yea. i like macq 'cos it has comms and transport infrastructure amongst its holdings: these are some of the sectors forecasted to do well for this year and the next in asia at least. fyi, a lot of analysts don't like macq 'cos they say it's too diversified. i like it tho. parent co--as geojam has pointed out--has sterling mgmt and consistent results; likely to carry same mgmt to this offshoot. Excellent mgmt team that has posted consistent profits yoy. |

geojam, MIIF is invested into airports, airport services; ports, oil tank farms; aged care, comms infrastructure; transport, utilities (Thames Waterworks). These investments are spread across 11 countries....from Europe, Asia, Australia, USA and Canada. Their website will give you a more complete picture. |

sorry godpa, cityspring's an IPO, so out of my trading radar for the next 6 mths at least. what infrastructure is it in specifically? roads, water works or what? they hived off from hyflux... macqinf is the singpost of the global equity world in terms of stability. aussie based co if i'm not mistaken. they own props and warehouses around the globe, notably, looking to expand asian holdings. so there's room for growth there. *kaching* divvy yield at approx 8%. incidentally godpa, for portfolio, macqinf would have been my 'fixed deposit' counter for you. for stable growth to balance the riskier trades. |

geojam, City Spring's sure got more spring than MIIF.......both infrastructure REIT. Because its a Temasek linked stock, its expansion/acquisition into/of other spore infrastracture assets will be less bumpy. But for divident play, MIIF has better yield....but hardly any movement cos all the deals they make will truely be arms lenght....so, acquisitions will be at a slower pace. |
