Many would have surely missed yesterday's juicy rally by ordering @8.56 because it only touched 8.55 just at lunch time. The juicy rally was obviously due to the day's news that Aussies approved the deal. On Friday, it went as low as 8.37...

And it is good to note that no matter how authorative, sophisticated or intimidatingly academic 'indicators' can appear, they are absolutely unable to predict the market's next move. Otherwise, why on earth do they use words like 'may', 'likely', 'probably', 'should', etc. And there is no such thing as 'highly likely' when it comes to stocks. Like I said, even a trend cannot be be predicted, but only observed to have formed after the event... All being said, ultimately, All is betting on the outcome... |

In this regard, rather than waiting indefinitely, or acting indiscrimately, it is good to adopt a systematic to way to 'play' the market. Simple charting techniques will serve such a purpose well enough. Since charts are a common operating tool of investment fund managers, every investor should learn at least a bit about charting...
