Looking at the DOW and European markets, looks like tomo will see STI on a downward track of the roller coaster ride. DOW now -47pts and NASDAQ - 13 pts, |

Hehee!! I seldom post these days as I am very wary of the current market, iPunter .... This is cos I feel that this should be the time to cash out to patiently wait for the expected correction due soon. (*My strict opinion here). |

wah...cham. After all the cny and budget celebrations, more and more people are becoming pessimistic and bearish? This can be a self-fullfilling prophesy if more people predict the market will cruise downwards instead of cruising up like a rising star****!! ;) |

one more thing to add, I am "brain-washed" by many feng-shui masters talking about the fortune of this year...wah "fire" boar leh... not very good year they said... I would rather believe them than the analysts...hahaha |

lucky168... You may just be right there... I reckon in addition to what you have pointed out, I am sure the foreign big money have already started to be defensive in their plays, as is apparent by the sickly market right beneath the divergent surface of the still 'charging' STI. Futhermore, these same funds people... I am sure they are also sensitive to the current news in the papers and are able to foresee the immediate direction of the local market to a great degree... Like you, I am personally 'in bearish mood'... :) |

really I am hoping the mkt will fall starting this week :) reasons: 1) nothing to look forward from now onwards (CNY rally over, Budget over, reporting season mostly over, etc.. what else?) 2) notice that a few companies reporting very good biz but shares not moving up... to me, this is a forewarning sign 3) not enough cash...hahahaha just pray! |

I prefer to read analyst's report with an open mind.Analysts sometimes have different views. So I read everything and make my own judgement:) |

l tan888... Yup, I understand your sentiments... However, that's exactly how things are in the real world. It's just that you did not expect it to to be that way that you are unable to swallow it. Thus, no matter what we encounter, being "streetwise" will definitely help us to avoid "swallowing" unsavoury stuff in the first place... :) |

One of my niece's husband is working in Merrill Lynch. I'll always fire him when I get to meet him (like now, CNY). I told him that it's always because of you people that the markets turn turmoil and topsy- turvy. Take for example a road show they did in America for Investments in Malaysia last year. After barely a month of completing the road show, they came out another report to say that Malaysia is a bad place for investment. How can the situation turn so bad in such a short time? What is their strategy in doing the road show in the first place? Anyway, the above is not only applicable to Merrill Lynch. It is also similar to JP Morgan, Smith Barney, and many of those BBs. That is why some of these people got prosecuted in the US recently. They really deserve it and they don't have my sympathy at all. |
