Looks bearish for STI after looking at it's weekly chart. RSI(14) turning down to 78 from 90, followed by one black engulfing candle. European market all red now. Looks ominous for STI to enter a 10+% correction. Juz sharing my thoughts. |

A real blood bath today... The market tommorow will very much depend on the Dow tonight, I think. If the Dow's reaction is moderate, then I believe the STI will rise tommorow. If the Dow's reaction is extremely bad, STI will be in for a second round of bleeding tommorow. |

Below article posted at 1305hrs in US .... At least give us some idea what's up somehow. ----------------------- HONG KONG (MarketWatch) -- Asian stocks were mostly lower Tuesday, with markets in Japan, China and Hong Kong, as well as major regional markets, all moving into negative territory.
Japan's Nikkei 225 was in danger of breaking a two-session winning streak as Mitsui Fudosan Co. and other property shares fell back on concerns they may have outpaced fundamentals after recent strong gains.
Chinese shares listed in Shanghai tumbled nearly 5% after ending at a record Monday, with energy, steel makers and financial issues leading declines, and Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index ended its morning session lower.
Chinese traders said profit-taking was sparked by concerns additional macro-tightening policies could be introduced following the annual session of the China's National People's Congress that gets underway March 5.
The Nikkei was down as much as 0.4% in afternoon trading at 18,137.41, easing back after closing at its highest level since May 2, 2000 in the previous session. The more-inclusive Topix index was also lower, falling 0.2% to 1,810.04.
Australia's S&P/ASX 200 was down 0.5% and Singapore's Straits Times Index eased 1.9%. Malaysia's KLSE Composite Index was down 1.8% and New Zealand's NZSX-50 fell 0.3%. Taiwan's Weighted Price Index eased 0.2% while South Korea's Kospi was off 0.7%. Thailand's SET Index was up 0.01% and Indonesia's JSX Composite added 0.3%.
China's Shanghai Composite was down 4.9% at 2,891.91. The Shanghai-listed shares of Baoshan Iron & Steel fell as much as 6.2% while China Life Insurance was down as much as 4.7%.

This should be a major correction, (mini crash) not a minor correction. Any advices for tomorrow, should we cash out those stock that are still profiable? Anyway winning lesser is better than losing our capital, is it right. Just when you think it is safe to go into the waters, the sharks just come????? |

Vaseline (pronounced as Vas - a -lean)....like Brylcream (pronounced as Braille - cream), used to be a household names for hair cream ( now known as 'gel'). As a schoolboy, corporal punishment was accepted; and encouraged by non doting parents; for errant students (exclusively boys). Before going to school, we used to plaster our hair with vaseline (or Brylcream...depending on the brand loyalty of the boy); not for vanity, mind you....but for self preservation. Whenever we were hauled up for some misdemeanour, the punishment is usually a few good solid whacks with a cane on an outstretched palm. As we proceeded from our desks to the front of the class, we would rub our palms on our vaseline plastered hair, thereby greasing it. As the cane came down, just a fraction of a second before contact with our out stretched palms, we will tilt the palm to to an angle so that the striking cane will glance off the surface...greatly helped by the greasy vaseline....thereby substantially reducing the pain of the impact. In the event the cane made good contact, the vaseline also served to soothe the burning sensation of the welts from the caning. These two products were also useful as home medication to treat burns....in this case burnt fingers of those who have been dabbling in the market......me included...ha ha ha |
