Don't be misled by "Top Volume" figures... if you relist it in $ value, the penny stocks are probably non-existent! |

The Dow is performing as expected... In spite of the influence of the moon's quarter phase, no drastic negativity was displayed... a healthy state of affairs for the STI... |

One must also know that 100m of a penny stock is not the same as 100m of a high-priced stock! It's the dollar value that is ignored when "top volume" is reported. It give a false picture of the traded amount... Why not report in $value? |

I get a bad feeling too that 18 out of the top 20 volume today are penny stocks (with exception of China Energy, and MMI due to M&A activity. And out of the 18, only Auston, unifibre and Genting are above 25c, rest all under. Not a good sign when too much pennystock at play? |

too bad the guy who lost 700k is not able to revive his stocks now as he didnt covered his ass well.. else this few days is enough for him to do a reversal of his losses.. Be it FA or TA, poor cash managment rules is a sure fire way to die in stock market |

well, as usual i like to give contrarian approach views. The fact is still STI is overbought currently thus if DOW dip tonite, the excuse for a dip is justified. STI has unique characteristic where is follows DOW sometimes and sometimes it dont.. so the best is still play safe.. next thing is the Climb for STI is getting steeper and look like to climax pretty soon. tomolo should have a negative red but anything goes.. |

Agree with you on the Dow part. However, the rally these couple of days is really broad based and covered a large number of counters. If the rally is based only on a few counters then I think the rise in STI is not very sustainable. |
