Kottayam , Oct. 10. Steep declines in Japanese markets depressed the domestic rubber prices on Tuesday. On the physical front RSS 4 declined to Rs 84 and Rs 84.50 respectively at Kottayam and Kochi from Rs 85 a kg on buyer resistance.

To members who are in a quandary on this stock, perhaps this will help to put things in perspective.

I reviewed the past performances of the company and correlated their average selling price per MT to the average price of rubber over that period.

FY2004 -        2,089                          555.83                  3.76

FY2005 -        2304                           626.08                  3.68

HY2006 -       2999                            830.31                  3.61



Using an ave corr factor of  3.68 and ave 3Q CV price of 922.6, my estimate of GMG 3Q SP is USD3395/MT. Furthermore, if rubber prices remains at about  current level, my estimate of GMG 2H 2006 ave SP will be about USD 3235/MT.



Rehashing the 2H P&L based on this assumption, I figure the Profit attributable to Shareholders at approx S$18.2 mil. This works out to be about eps of 0.9cts.



Add 1H 2006 eps of 0.75, then est FY2006 eps is 1.65cts per share.



At todays shareprice of 8.5cts, my estimate FY2006  P/E is 5.2X. and NAV of approx 12.0 cts. 



This is my personal opinion....and I am vested. Figures will change (up or down) should rubber prices fluctuate too much in 4 Q.
