timewatch today is XD already, you miss the bus. XD means EXclude-Divendend. if you really buy today, you do not get dividend. next time you can check SGX website, if it is CD on remark column , then buyer buy with dividend. |

knightrider, if i buy lets say 20000of advance holdings today at 0.47 cents and hold it for 6months, will i too get divident, and approximatly how much Sir, how do they calculate it. and what if i sell it within 3 to 4 months,can i still get my divident.thankyou.each small tip or advice i get from all seniors helps me to learn more. |

This counter, is lousy, even drop belowed placement share price ! But hold on to it, new contract will only announce at 6 - 9 mths time, there is still upside, just sit tight to collect your dividends. Good Luck. |

Mathieu: you will only get the dividends if you sell when the symbol has changed to XD. if you sell when CD you will not get the dividends. that is why whenever you see XD you see selldown for some stocks. observe awhile to verify the phenonmenon :) |

If I m correct, it is proposed a dividend of S$0.005 a share, thus u got 20,000, therefore 20,000 X S$0.005 = $$$. Wait for them to send u the money ! |

Advanced Holdings is focusing on securing bigger contracts as it expands further in its Clean Energy and Environmental Solutions Divisions. It reported an increase of 197.5% in its H1 2007 revenue to S$31 mln thanks to contracts it recently secured. Net profit was up 249.6% to S$4 mln. The business generated S$691,000 in cash as compared to S$1.3 mln last year. It will be paying an interim dividend of 0.56 cents a share as compared to the 0.25 cents it paid last year. |

Today seems a shocking for this counter, correction and now S$0.515. Wow, hope you all still hold and not panic selling, after all the good results announcement, not move much then sudden correction. I still think it will reach target S$0.7 unless I see wrongly. As to reply to the answer to timewatch, contra, means you no need to wait for the statement and thus buy and sell at the same day, then most of the time wait for your profit send to you. Or in another case, if you buy high and anticpate it is going down drastic like today, then you cut lost at the same day, thus you need to pay the lost amount. Thus this is all trading of buy and sell of the same counter at the same day. Normal trading is T+3 days, means T = transaction day and then 3 days later then you payup. For my case, my relation with my broking firms is long term, they allow T+5 days. Hope you are clear. Good Luck. |
